Description:

PLTU Perak sebagai salah satu pembangkit existing yang merupakan pembangkit termal. PLTU Perak dalam beroperasi membutuhkan peralatan-peralatan auxiliary untuk yang terdiri dari komponen pemindah panas, pendingin, pemindah fluida serta peralatan common-nya. Semua peralatan tersebut membutuhkan suplai energi listrik karena digerakkan oleh motor, fan dan peralatan kontrol serta pengaman. Perlu dilakukan optimalisasi koordinasi system proteksi relay beban auxiliary PLTU perak sehingga selektifitas dan akurasian menjadi maksimal. Beban auxiliary PLTU Perak terdiri dari 3 (tiga) rating tegangan dengan masing-masing relay proteksi. Dalam kondisi beban maximum continous rate (MCR) atau beban nominal. Bebanbeban auxiliary akan beroperasi pada skema beban maksimum. Pada kondisi ini dilakukan resetting relay arus lebih yaitu adanya overlapping, ketidaksesuaian grading time, low setting dan high setting. Dengan adanya sistem cogeneration ini, sistem proteksi arus lebih beban auxiliary harus pula mengakomodasi kondisi tersebut akibat nilai arus hubung singkat yang berbeda untuk setiap skema cogeneration. Studi ini akan dilakukan berdasarkan standar yang telah ada, dan akan dilakukan secara konvensional dan secara adaptif.

One of them is Perak BGU, as an existing thermal power plant. During operation, Perak BGU requires auxiliary equipment: components of heat exchanger, cooler, pump, and others common equipment. Such equipment needs the supply of electric energy because it is moved by motor, fan, controller, and safety equipment. The reliability and continuity of the energy distribution to the load is highly required. The failure of the electricity protection system upon such load will cause force outage of the power plant. Furthermore, it can damage the equipment and require a long period of time for reparation. The maximization of protection system coordination in relay auxiliary load at Perak GBU is necessary. This is to make the selectivity and accuracy maximum. The auxiliary load of Perak GBU consists of three ratings of voltage. Each of them owns its relay of protection. In the load condition of Maximum Continuous Rate (MCR) or nominal load, the auxiliary load will operate on its maximum load scheme. In this condition, relay resetting of the current is done due to overlapping, unsuitable grading time, low setting, and high setting. The cogeneration system must be accomodated by overcurrent relay protection because it have different value of short circuit current at each cogeneration scheme. This study is done based on the existing standards. It is also done in a conventional way and adaptive.
