ABSTRAK

Adanya kompetisi untuk melakukan transfer informasi pada gateway penerima suatu jaringan nano yang menggunakan bakteri ber-flagella sebagai paket dapat dimodelkan sebagai suatu sistem antrian.Tugas akhir ini melakukan pemodelan sistem antrian pada link layer jaringan nano melalui simulasi menggunakan perangkat lunak MATLAB. Pemodelan dilakukan dengan menyesuaikan sistem antrian yang dibuat dengan karakteristik yang dimiliki oleh jaringan nano yaitu delay propagasi acak yang terdistribusi gamma dan besar buffer antrian yang bergantung pada sisa waktu hidup paket. Pada pemodelan dilakukan variasi beberapa keadaan pada jaringan nano seperti waktu antar keberangkatan waktu hidup paket dan jumlah server di penerima untuk mengetahui pengaruhnya terhadap delay throughput dan packet loss. Berdasarkan hasil simulasi yang dilakukan dapat diketahui bahwa penggunaan bakteri dengan waktu hidup lebih lama menghasilkan throughput maksimal dan packet loss minimal namun dengan delay pengiriman paket yang lebih besar. Kemudian dapat diketahui bahwa penggunaan dual server di penerima mampu mengurangi prosentase packet loss dan meningkatkan throughput link dengan delay yang lebih kecil dibanding dengan penggunaan single server.


ABSTRACT

The presence of competitions among packets in order to do informations transfer in receiver gateway of a Nanonetwork which used flagellated bacterias as packets can be modelled as a queuing system. This final project modeled the queuing system in link layer nano network through simulation using MATLAB. The modelling is done by observing the characteristic of the nano network such as the random propagation delay and the amount of buffer which depends on the remaining lifetime of the packets. The modelling itself is varied by the state of nano network such as interdeparture time of packets lifetime packets and the amount of server in the gateway receiver to discover the effects of each state to nano network parameters such as delays packet loss and throughput. The result of the simulation shown that the usage of bacteria with longer lifetime will produce maksimum throughput and minimum packet loss but with longer delay. Meanwhile the usage of dual server in the receiver will produce higher throughput lower packet loss and shorter delay than the usage of single server.
