STUDY OF PROTECTION COORDINATION ON CHANDRA ASRI PETROCHEMICAL PLANT BUTADIENE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

ABSTRAK

PT Chandra Asri Petrochemical merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak dalam bidang produksi petrokimia terintegrasi terbesar di Indonesia yang terletak di cilegon. Pada tahun 2012 PT Chandra Asri Petrocemical merencanakan penambahan Plant baru yang bernama Plant Butadiene. Pada perencanaan pembangunannya Sistem kelistrikan Plant Butadiene akan menggunakan sumber listrik dari PLN dengan kontrak 10MVA distribusi 20KV 6KV dan 380V. Dan sistem kelistrikannya akan dibuat terpisah dari kelistrikan PT Chandra Asri Petrochemical yang telah ada sebelumnya. Oleh karena itu maka perlu untuk diadakan studi koordinasi proteksi pada Plant Butadiene PT Chandra Asri Petrochemical guna merencanakan Sistem Proteksi yang memenuhi standar pengamanan. Dalam studi koordinasi proteksi perlu diperhatikan besar arus gangguan yang dapat terjadi dan arus beban penuh dari peralatan listrik terpasang. Selain itu diperlukan juga karakteristik dari peralatan yang digunakan untuk melakukan analisa. Berdasarkan hasil pemodelan dan simulasi kemudian dilakukan analisa untuk mendapatkan koordinasi rele proteksi yang sesuai terhadap standar yang berlaku. Serta dibentuk ke dalam sebuah kurva yang menggambarkan kondisi dari koordinasi rele proteksi pada sistem kelistrikan hasil dari analisis yang dilakukan. Maka disimpukan bahwa koordinasi proteksi yang direkomendasikan dalam analisis yang dilakukan sudah sesuai standard koordinasi dan mampu melindungi peralatan dalam sistem kelistrikan plant Butadiene PT Chandra Asri Petrochemical. Sehingga pengamanan peralatan listrik dapat terpasang baik dan keandalan sistem penyaluran tenaga listrik dalam kondisi optimal.


ABSTRACT

Chandra Asri Petrochemical is one of largest integrated companion that produce petrochemical product in Indonesia. It build at cilegonbanten. In 2012 Chandra Asri Petrochemical had a project to build the new plant that named butadiene plant. Butadiene plant would be build with the new electrical system and totaly different with the exixting electrical system that use. On development plans Butadiene Plant Electrical Systems will use the source of electricity to the contract 10MVA 20KV distribution 6KV and 380V. And the electrical system will be separate from the electrical Chandra Asri Petrochemical that have been there before. Therefore it is necessary for made protection coordination studies in Butadiene Plant Chandra Asri Petrochemical to get protection systems that meet protection standards. In a study of the coordination of protection to consider fault current that can occur and the full load current of electrical equipment installed. It is also important characteristics of the equipment used to perform the analysis. Based on the results of modeling and simulation and then analyzed to obtain the appropriate coordination of relay protection against applicable standards. As well as formed into a curve that describes the condition of relay protection coordination on the electrical system results from the analysis conducted. Then concluded that the recommended protection coordination analysis are conducted according to standards coordination and able to protect the equipment in the plant electrical system Butadiene Chandra Asri Petrochemical. So that electrical equipment can be perfect installed and reliability of electric power delivery systems in optimum condition.
