ADAPTIVE OVERCURRENT PROTECTION OF DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM WITH DISTRIBUTED GENERATION

ABSTRAK

Perkembangan teknologi pembangkit tenaga listrik sudah semakin meningkat. Apalagi dengan berkembangnya pembangkit distribusi yang dapat bekerja pada mode Islanded. Namun demikian pengaman arus lebih masih memiliki masalah pada perbedaan arus gangguan ketika sistem distribusi terhubung dengan grid dan ketika dalam keadaan Islanded. Oleh sebab itu pada tugas akhir ini mengusulkan penggunaan metode pengaman yang adaptif yang memanfaatkan informasi lokal untuk mengatasi kendala pada pengaman arus lebih di sistem distribusi dengan pembangkit tersebar. Karakteristik trip pada rele diupdate dengan mengetahui kondisi pengoprasian terhubung grid atau island dan bagian gangguannya. Dalam hal ini bagian yang mengalami gangguan juga dideteksi menggunakan karakteristik waktu arus lebih dari rele pengaman. Hasil simulasi akan ditunjukan melalui simulasi ETAP 7.0. Dari hasil analisis menunjukan bahwa kondisi pengoprasian dan pada bagian gangguan dapat diidentifikasi dengan tepat. Maka pengaturan sistem pengaman dapat diupdate untuk menyelesaikan masalah gangguan dengan lebih cepat.


ABSTRACT

The development of power generation technology is increasing.. Especially the development of power distribution that can work on Islanded mode. However overcurrent protection still have problems on the difference distribution system fault current when connected to the grid and Islanded conditions. However this final project proposes the use of adaptive protection using local information to overcome the challenges of the overcurrent protection in distribution systems with distributed generation. The trip characteristics of the relays are updated by detecting operating states grid connected or island and the faulted section. In this case faulted section detection using time overcurrent characteristics of the protective relays. Simulation results will be shown by simulation of ETAP 7.0. Simulation results show that the operating state and faulted section can be correctly identified. Then the protection system settings can be updated to clear the faults faster.
