OPTIMIZATION RECONFIGURATION OF RADIAL DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM FOR MINIMIZE POWER LOSS AND RELIABILITY IMPROVEMENT USING GENETIC ALGORITHM

ABSTRAK

Seiring dengan meningkatkanya perekonomian masyarakat maka kebutuhan akan tenaga listrik pun meningkat. Sistem distribusi listrik menjadi semakin luas dan kompleks sehingga mengakibatkan rugi rugi serta keandalan pada sistem menjadi memburuk. Untuk mengatasi kedua hal tersebut salah satu cara yang dilakukan adalah dengan melakukan rekonfigurasi jaringan secara tepat. Genetic Algorithm GA merupakan salah satu metode optimasi yang populer digunakan. GA akan mencari solusi terbaik dalam pembentukan topologi jaringan baru . Proses optimasi diujikan pada sistem IEEE 33 bus. Terdapat 2 kondisi meliputi sistem dasar dan rekonfigurasi. Sistem dasar menghasilkan total rugi daya sebesar 2027 kW dengan rata-rata down time setiap load point sebesar 15840 jamtahun. Setelah dilakukan rekonfigurasi jaringan diperoleh penurunan rugi daya sebesar 3093 menjadi 13997kW. Perbaikan juga terjadi pada sisi keandalan sistem. Nilai rata-rata down time setiap load point berkurang menjadi 10044 jamtahun dengan penurunan sebesar 3659


ABSTRACT

In the development of electric power systems electrical distribution systems become increasingly extensive and complex causing losses and reliability that occur in the system becomes larger and bad. To solve this problem the common way is to do with the reconfiguration of the network. Genetic Algorithm GA is one of the popular methods of optimization used. GA combines a random variety of the best solution in a set population to get the next generation of the best solution fitness. The optimization process was tested on the IEEE 33 bus system. In order to obtain optimal results the optimization process is divided into two condition a base system and reconfiguration of the network. The base system generates power losses amounted to 2027 kW with average down time is 15840 houryear. After the reconfiguration of the network obtained decrease power losses amounted to 30.93 and the average down time become 10044 houryear decrease amounted to 36.59 .
