ABSTRAK

Arc flash merupakan kejadian berbahaya yang dapat terjadi di sistem kelistrikan industri. Hal ini salah satunya dapat disebabkan oleh kesalahan sistem ataupun karena kesalahan prosedur dalam maintenance. Arc flash dapat mengakibatkan kerusakan peralatan bahkan kematian pekerja yang berada di sekitar tempat kejadian. Oleh sebab itu pengamanan terhadap hal ini sangatlah diperlukan untuk menjaga peralatan maupun pekerja di dalam dunia industri. Pada tugas akhir ini akan dilakukan studi tentang arc flash di Joint Operating Body Pertamina Petrochina East Java JOB P-PEJ Tuban. Studi tersebut menghitung arc flash sesuai standar dan melakukan pengurangan incident energy melalui rekoordinasi dan penambahan peralatan proteksi bila diperlukan. Hasil dari studi ini menunjukkan bahwa kondisi eksisting memerlukan rekoordinasi karena incident energy yang dihasilkan melebihi standar. Setelah dilakukan rekoordinasi terjadi penurunan kategori dari incident energy.


ABSTRACT

Arc flash is a dangerous condition that can occurred in industrial electrical systems. It could be caused by failure systems or because of wrong maintenance procedure. Arc flash could damage the equipment even death of the worker who where around it. Therefore protection against this is necessary to keep the equipment and the workers. In this final project will carried out studies on arc flash in Joint Operating Body PertaminaPetrochina East Java JOB P-PEJ Tuban. This study will calculate arc flash energy appropriate the standard and reduce incident energy with re-coordination and add protection device when needed. The result of this study indicated that the existing condition required re-coordination because of the incident energy was exceed of standard. After re-coordination setting applied decreased of incident energy was occured.
