ABSTRAK

Heat exchanger merupakan alat yang berfungsi memindahan kalor antara dua fluida yang mempunyai perbedaan temperatur dan menjaga agar kedua fluida tersebut tidak bercampur. Permasalahan yang terjadi dalam pengendalian temperatur sistem kerja heat exchanger adalah terjadinya perubahan laju fluida dan heat exchanger juga harus bekerja pada beban yang bervariasi sehingga output tidak sesuai dengan nilai set point yang diinginkan manipulated variable. Respon output pada plant heat exchanger selalu mengalami keterlambat karena proses perpindahan panas sehingga menimbulkan time delay pada respon ouput. Dari permasalahan yang muncul maka perlu dirancang suatu sistem kontroler yang mampu beradaptasi terhadap perubahan parameter-parameter pada plant heat exchanger sehingga pada penelitian ini digunakan metode kontrol jaringan saraf tiruan prediktif. Sistem kontrol dengan menggunakan metode jaringan saraf tiruan prediktif dirancang dengan menggunakan simulink Matlab dan disimulasikan. Hasil dari pengujian dapat dilihat bahwa aksi kontroler telah mampu beradaptasi terhadap perubahan dari temperatur dan error yang terjadi 35 dengan set point bervariasi dan beban bervariasi.


ABSTRACT

Heat exchanger is a tool for heat transferring between two fluids that have different temperature and maintaining the fluids so that the fluids is not mixing. The problems that occur in temperature control system is the changes of fluid rate and varies of load that Heat exchanger must dealt with. This problems cause the changes in Heat Exchanger parameters which can affect the temperature output in Heat Exchanger so that the output isnt corresponding with the desired set point. The output response of Heat Exchanger always having delayed due to the heat transfer process that causing the dead time in the output response. Because of that problems it is necessary to design a control system that able to adapt the changes in Heat Exchanger parameters so the method of artificial neural network predictive control is used in this Final Project. The predictive neural network is designed and simulated using MATLAB Simulink. The simulation results shows that the controller is able to adapt the changes of temperature.
