ABSTRAK

Waste heat steam generator WHSG merupakan sebuah sistem pembangkit listrik yang memanfaatkan gas buang suatu proses di industri. Dalam rangka merancang plant WHSG dibutuhkan parameter kendali yang tepat untuk mempertahankan nilai kesetimbangan massa dan kesetimbangan energi. Teknik pengendalian IMC-PID merupakan salah satu metode yang sering diterapkan pada power plant yakni dengan melakukan tunning terhadap perubahan set point. Pada kenyataannya tidak hanya tunning berdasarkan perubahan set point saja yang dapat menghasilkan respon yang tepat tetapi tunning berdasarkan nilai disturbance juga tepat untuk digunakan. hal ini dikarenakan tunning berdasarkan nilai disturbance dapat mengurangi nilai gangguan yang langsung masuk pada keluaran sebuah proses. Nilai tunning berdasarkan nilai set point yang diberikan yakni 5 10 dan 15 dari data desain yang digunakan sedangkan untuk tunning berdasarkan nilai disturbance yang digunakan yakni 5 dari nilai input yang digunakan sebagai parameter disturbance. Berdasarkan respon pengendalian yang dihasilkan menunjukkan bahwa metode tunning yang digunakan untuk mengendalikan disturbance dalam penelitian ini tidak tepat untuk diterapkan menggunakan metode IMC-PID. Hal ini dikarenakan karakteristik respon yang dihasilkan menunjukkan nilai yang kurang baik.


ABSTRACT

Waste heat steam generator WHSG is a power generation system that utilizes exhaust gases in an industrial process. In order to design WHSG plant proper control parameters needed to maintain the value of the mass balance and energy balance. The technique of IMC-PID control is one method that is often applied to the power plant by tunning to change the set point. In fact not only by changes in set point tunning that only produce a proper response but tunning based on disturbance value also appropriate for used. This is because tunning based on disturbance value can reduce the disturbance values directly into the process output. The tunning values based on set point is given by value 5 10 and 15 of design data used while for tunning based on disturbance that used 5 the inputs value which used as a parameter disturbance. Based on the result of control response shows that tunning method used to control the disturbance in this study are not appropriate to be applied using the IMC-PID method. This explanation because characteristics of resulting response shows that poor value.
