PERHITUNGAN KEBUTUHAN JUMLAH PEKERJA YANG OPTIMAL PADA DEPARTEMEN CONTINUOUS FLOW PT X

ABSTRAK

Peningkatan produktivitas dan efisiensi merupakan suatu perhatian khusus pada PT X karena untuk dapat bersaing dengan kompetitor maka perusahaan harus mampu meningkatkan efektivitas dan efisiensi. Efektivitas dan efisiensi merupakan hal yang utama dalam perusahaan karena merupakan peranan sangat penting untuk bisa menghasilkan output dan produktivitas yang maksimal. Pekerja merupakan salah satu sumber biaya produksi yang harus dioptimalkan sehingga jumlah pekerja yang optimal akan menentukan besarnya biaya produksi maupun profit perusahaan. PT X membutuhkan keputusan untuk menentukan jumlah pekerja yang optimal pada Departemen Continuous flow karena jumlah pekerja pada lini produksi ini masih bisa diminimalkan namun tetap dapat ideal. Oleh karena itu penelitian ini perlu dilakukan yang bertujuan untuk menghitung beban kerja aktual dan menentukan jumlah pekerja yang optimal pada lini produksi Departemen Continuous Flow. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode Stopwatch time study sehingga didapat waktu yang tepat untuk menentukan jumlah pekerja yang optimal. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Lini produksi Departemen Continuous Flow memiliki beban kerja yang kurang optimal atau dibawah 100 dengan beban kerja berturut untuk aktivitas A sortir dan pengumpul sebesar 7932 aktivitas B holder sebesar 8038 aktivitas C wrapping sebesar 8037 dan aktivitas D penumpuk karton sebesar 7759 . Jumlah pekerja yang optimal pada Lini produksi Departemen Continuous Flow juga lebih rendah dari kondisi awal yaitu 9 pekerja dengan kondisi awal 10 pekerja.


ABSTRACT

Production efficiency is a thing need to be concern of for most of the companies. This research studies the work system of one of mosquito repellant manufacturing company. If the company wants to able to compete with other companies the company needs to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of company productivity. Efficiency and effectiveness are major pillars for any company to produce optimal output and productivity. The amount of workforce is one of the cost-generating factor which should be minimized so the optimal amount of workforce will determine how big is the production cost and determine how big is profit the company will make. The company needs a right decision to determine the optimal amount of workforce on the continuous flow system. It needs to be done because the existing amount of workforce still can be minimized. Therefore this research should be done to calculate the actual workload and to determine the optimal workforce needed in continuous flow. This research conducted by using stopwatch time study method to obtain the correct time to determine optimal workforce needed. Result show on the production line of continuous flow has the amount of workload for each activities as such activity A sorting and collecting with the amount of 7932 activity B holding with the amount of 8038 activity C wrapping with the amount of 8037 activity D carton stacking with the amount of 7759. The workforce for each production line is 9 which means decreasing number of workforce from 10 to 9.
