ABSTRAK

LMDS Local Multipoint Distribution Service pada gelombang millimeter millimetre wave yang berada pada frekuensi 28 GHz 42 GHz merupakan pilihan tepat untuk akses layanan multimedia nirkabel pada jaringan Pita Lebar. Tingginya redaman yang disebabkan curah hujan menjadi kendala utama pada implementasi LMDS. Pada sistem komunikasi gelombang milimeter redaman hujan memberikan pengaruh yang besar dan juga menggangu keandalan sistem komunikasi. Pengaruh redaman hujan terhadap propagasi gelombang radio mulai menjadi signifikan pada frekuensi 10 GHz. Pada tugas akhir ini diamati penggabungan antara M-QAM dengan kode konvolusional adaptif tanpa perubahan daya. Dengan pengamatan BER maksimum 10-3 10-6 dan 10-11 dianalisa kinerja laju kode yang dipasangkan terhadap level modulasi yaitu 4-QAM dengan pengkodean 13 16-QAM dengan pengkodean 12 dan 64-QAM dengan pengkodean 23 pada panjang link 123 dan 4Km. SNR yang terukur sebagai inputan data untuk semua mode transmisi setelah pemberian kode maka diamati kinerja sistem. Dari penghitungan didapatkan link availability terbaik adalah 9991 dari target yang diinginkan yaitu 9999 yang merupakan asumsi link availability ideal.


ABSTRACT

LMDS Local Multipoint Distribution Service on millimetre wave which located in frequency 28 Ghz 42 Ghz is exact selection for broadband multimedia nircable access services. Rain cats become barrier at implementation of LMDS. In millimetre communication wave rain fading give big impact and jam the reliability of communication system. Rain fading effect on radio wave propagation become more significant at frequency 10 GHz. In this final project will analysis combination of adaptive MQAM and convolutional code with fixed power. In observation of maximum BER 10-3 10-6 and 10-11 will analysis performance of code rate which combined with modulation that are 4-QAM with code rate 13 16-QAM with code rate 12 and 64-QAM with code rate 23 in link 1-4 km. SNR measured as data input for all of transmission mode after coding so can be analysis sistem performance in adaptive and nonadaptive. In analysis we find result that maximum availability is 9991 which ideal availability is 9999.
