PENENTUAN JUMLAH GUDANG ALOKASI PERMINTAAN YANG OPTIMAL STUDI KASUS DI PT.SEMEN GRESIK PERSERO TBK.

ABSTRAK

PT. Semen Gresik persero Tbk. adalah salah satu perusahaan yang bergerak dibidang pembuatan semen. Untuk memenuhi permintaan kustomer terutama di daerah Jawa Barat sesuai dengan waktu dan jumlah yang mereka inginkan maka perusahaan memerlukan suatu sistem pendistribusian produk yang efektif dan efisien. Permasalahan yang mungkin timbul dalam mewujudkan hal ini adalah terjadinya inefisiensi dalam sistem distribusi produknya yang disebabkan oleh jumlah gudang dan penempatan customer customer assignment yang tidak optimal. Hal ini dapat menyebakan tingginya biaya total yang harus disediakan perusahaan untuk kelangsungan proses distribusi produknya dan desentalisasi fasilitas menjadi alternatif solusi yang perlu pertimbangan secara matang. Penelitian ini memperkenalkan suatu analisa mengenai bentuk dari keputusan sentralisasi dan desentralisasi fasilitasgudang dalam suatu sistem distribusi dengan perspektif yang lebih luas Ekspresi dari berbagai elemen biaya yang membentuk biaya total sistem total system cost dikembangkan dan efek individu maupun gabungannya terhadap sentralisasi dan desentralisasi fasilitas dianalisa dengan menggunakan suatu model optimasi. Tujuan utama dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menentukan jumlah fasilitas dan customer assignment yang optimal sebagai suatu trade-off dari biaya inventory dan transportasi. Analisa dilalukan berdasarkan skenario yang penting komprehensif yang sesuai dengan kondisi sistem inventory perusahaan saat ini dan memiliki tiga elemen yang berperan dalam inventory yaitu cycle stock safety stock dan distribution stock. Analisa dilakukan dengan menggunakan beberapa tingkat biaya transportasi dan service level. Di bagian akhir penelitian jumlah fasilias gudang yang terbaikoptimal untuk beberapa tingkat biaya transportasi dan service level di atas akan dibandingkan. Dari penelitian ini diketahui bahwa srtategi terbaik bagi perusahaan saat ini adalah untuk tetap menerapkan sistem desentralisasi total dengan mengoperasikan keenam gudang yang ada di Jawa Barat. Customer assignment ditetapkan berdasarkan jarak antara gudang ke kustomer yang terdekat dengan total cost minimum yang dihasilkan sebesar Rp.50.467.29000 per minggu.


ABSTRACT

PT. Semen Gresik persero Tbk. is a manufacture that produces cement.To meet the customer demandse specially in the West Java region according to the desired time and quantity the company requires an effective and efficient distribution system. The possible issues that may aPPear to achieve this purpose is an ineficiency that occurs in the product distribution system caused by a non-optimal number of facilities and its customer assignment. This result in a high total cost that the company must bear to perform its distribution process. Centralization and decentralization of facilities becomes an alternative solution which need a further consideration. This paper presents a formal analysis of the facility cenlralization and decentralization decision in a distribution system with a wider perspective. Expressions for various elements of toal system cost are developed and their individual and combined effects on facility centralization and decentralization are analyzed using an optimization model. The major thrust of this paper is on determining the optimal number of facility and its customer assignment as a tradeoff between inventory and transporation costs. This analysis is based on the most comprehensive scenario that correspond to the companys inventory system at the present which contains three roles of inventory cycle stock safety stock and distributiontransportation stock. The analysis is performed by using some transportation cost levels and service levels. At the end of this paper the best or optimal number of facility according to the levels of transportation cost and levels of service are compared. The result of this paper indicates that the best strategy for the company at the present is performing a total decentralization system by operating all the facilitieswarehouse in the West Java. The customer assignment is determined based on the shortest path between the facilities and customers with minimum total cost of Rp.5 0.476.29000 each week.
