MEREDUKSI TERJADINYA DEFECT PRODUK DRUM DENGAN METODE FAILURE MODE AND EFFECT ANALYSIS PROCESS STUDI KASUS DI PT MULTI ALTEK DRUMINDO

ABSTRAK

PT. Multi Altek Drumindo merupakan perusahaan make to order yang memproduksi produk Drum dan General Can. Produk drum ini biasanya digunakan sebagai tempat minyak sehingga diperlukan kualitas yang baik agar tidak terjadi kebocoran yang menyebabkan kerugian pada pelanggan dan pihak perusahaan Berdasarkan observasi lingkungan telah ditemukan bahwa defect pada proses Assembly body drum sangat tinggi sebesar 12.08 . Perbaikan telah dilakukan oleh perusahaan untuk menekan defect tetapi defect tersebut meningkat kembali dalam waktu yang singkat dengan berbagai macam variasi penyebab. Perusahaan tidak memiliki document potensial kegagalan beserta penyebabnya dan sistem prioritas untuk merencanakan tindakan perbaikan yang dapat mengurangi atau mencegah terjadinya defect. Failure Mode dan Effect Analysis Process FMEAP merupakan suatu metode yang mengidentifikasikan penyimpangan potensial yang mungkin dari setiap spesifikasi dan menghilangkan atau meminimumkan penyimpangan itu melalui deteksi danatau pencegahan perubahan-perubahan pada variabel proses. Alat pendukung untuk mengidentifikasi nilai Severity Occurrence dan Detection yaitu Fish-bone Diagram dan Measurement System Analysis MSA yang akan menghasilkan Risk Priority Number RPN. Nilai RPN akan menjadi acuan prioritas pengambilan tindakan perbaikan. Setelah mengimplementasikan FMEAP dan melakukan tindakan perbaikan perusahaan mengalami penurunan. defct sebesar 5.54 . Penelitian ini dapat membuktikan bahwa FMEAP dapat menjadi alat untuk melakukan perbaikan berkesinambungan bagi peusahaan untuk meningkatkan kualitas.


ABSTRACT

PT. Multi Altek Drumindo is a make to order company that produce drum and general can. The drum is usually used as a oil plase so that needs a good quality in order not to be happened the leakage causing loss at customer and company. Pursuant to environmental observation have been found that the defect at process of assembly body drum is very high equal to 12.08 . Improvement have been conducted by company to depress the defect but the defect goes up again brief during with many kinds of cause. Company dont havethe potential document of failure with its cause and system priority to plan improvement which can reduce or prevent the defect. Failure Mode and Effect Analysis Process FMEAP represent a method identifying possible potential deviation from each specification and eliminate or minimize the deviation through detecting and or preventing the changes of variable process. Supported appliance for identify the value severity occurrence and detection is fishbone diagram and Measurement System Analysis MSA that result the Risk Priority Number RPN. Value of RPN become the reference of improvement priority. After Implementation FMEAP and conduct improvement company experiences a decreasing of defects amount as much as 5.54 . This research can prove that FMEAP can be the appliance to conduct continuous improvement for company to increase quality.
