ABSTRAK

Pada pengelasan paduan Aluminium dapat digunakan gas acetylene yang dibakar dengn gas oksigen dan fluks boraks yang dipakai sebagai pelindung serta mengatur pendinginan. Dan juga menggunakan proses pengelasan MIG dengan prinsip menggunakan shielding gas Argon yang dilengkapi consumabel electrode untuk menyalakan busur. Penelitian ini bertujuan mempelajari mutu sambungan las weld joint yaitu retakan yang terjadi akibat uji bending hasil proses las oxyacetylene dan MIG yang didasarkan pada pengujian makro dan mikro struktur serta pola permukaan patahan. Dari hasil penelitian masing masing proses pengelasan mempunyai informasi yang berbeda beda. Untuk proses las oxyacetylene secara makrostruktur retakan terjadi didaerah fusion line dan secara mikrostruktur retakan tersebut merambat mengikuti batas butir intergranular sedangkan pada proses las MIG secara makrostruktur retakan terjadi didaerah weld metal dan secara mikrostruktur merambat memotong batas butir transgranular


ABSTRACT

Welding oxyacetylene of heat source used to joint to use the gas acetylene burned with the oxygen gas flux weared as protector at one blow arrange the refrigeration is borax. While process of pengelasan MIG have the principle use the shielding of gas Ar equiped by the consumabel electrode to fire bow. used by different weld of same material that is alloy Al 5052. This research aim to learn barst at weld joint effect from test the bending at process of weld oxyacetylene and MIG relied on barst study on micro and macro structure and also pattern of breaking surface. From research result aech process the welding have the different information. welding oxyacetylene process in macrostructure crack happened in fusion line area and by mikrostruktur cracking to follow the item boundary intergranular. at MIG process in macrostructure crack happened in metal area weld and by mikrostruktur creep to cut the item boundary transgranular.
