STUDI AWAL PEMBUATAN ALAT INDIKATOR FISIKOKIMIA UNTUK MENDETEKSI GAS NO2 DI UDARA

ABSTRAK

Alat pemantau kualitas udara ambien yang ada di Surabaya saat ini sangat mahal dan tidak bisa memberikan informasi dengan cepat. Sehingga dibutuhkan suatu alternatif yang lebih murah dan lebih cepat dalam penyampaian informasi tentang kualitas udara ambien. Dalam tugas akhir ini dilakukan penelitian tentang pembuatan alat indikator fisikokimia untuk mendetekasi gas NO2 . Dalam penelitian ini digunakan larutan indikator NO2 yaitu N-1-Napthyl Etilendiamin Dihidroklorida NED dan Asam Klorida serta menggunakan media pemaparan berupa kertas whatman jenis kasar dan halus. Gas NO2 dipaparkan dengan berbagai variasi konsentrasi sehingga akan didapat range sesuai dengan ISPU dan skala warna sesuai dengan konsentrasi gas NO2 yang dipaparkan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi pembentukan warna ungu pada larutan indikator NED serta pola pembentukan warna lebih merata terbentuk pada kertas whatman jenis kasar dengan pemaparan selama 30 menit. Skala warna yang didapat untuk kategori baik dan sedang ditunjukkan dengan warna putih dan ungu skala nomor dua pada konsentrasi 0 8211 3594 gm3 tidak sehat warna ungu skala 3 3 nomor tiga pada konsentrasi 3604 gm 8211 1129 gm sangat tidak 3 sehat warna ungu skala nomor empat pada konsentrasi 1130 gm 8211 2259 gm3 dan kategori berbahaya dengan warna ungu skala nomor 3 3 lima enam tujuh pada konsentrasi 2260 gm 8211 lebih dari 3750 gm . 3 Hasil pengukuran gas NO2 pada uji validasi sebesar 83592 gm konsentrasi tersebut sesuai dengan hasil pengamatan pada alat indikator fisikokimia pada skala nomor 3 kategori tidak sehat yaitu rentang 3 3 konsentrasi 3604 gm - 1129 gm .


ABSTRACT

Air ambient quality control device existed in Surabaya nowadays is very costly and not able to give information quickly. Therefore a low cost and quicker alternative is needed in giving information of air ambient quality. In this final project the research begins with making the physicochemical indicator device to detect NO2g . In this research NO2 indicator solution used is N-1-Napthyl Ethylendiamine Dihydrochloride NED and Hydrochloric Acid. In addition Whatman paper coarse and fine type are used as a contact media. NO2g is contacted by varying the concentration in the purpose of getting the range comparable to Air Pollution Standard Index APSI and colour scale equal to concentration of NO2g contacted. The result indicates that a violet is formed to the indicator solution of NED. The pattern of the colour forming is more generalized if using Whatman paper coarse type for 30 minutes contact time. Colour scale yielded for category of fine and moderate is shown by white and violet scale number two in a concentration of 0-3594gm3 unhealthy 3 category violet scale number three in concentration of 3604gm - 3 very unhealthy category violet scale number four in 1129gm 3 3 concentration of 1130gm -2259gm and hazardous category violet 3 scale number five six seven in concentration of 2260gm -greater than 3750gm3. Result of NO2 g measurement in validation test shows a concentration of 835 92 gm3 that is equal to the surveillance result of the physicochemical device scale number three classified in the category of unhealthy which the concentration is ranged from 3604 3 3 gm till 1129 gm
