Jembatan Kali Barek berada di Jalan Lintas Selatan Propinsi Jawa Timur di wilayah Kabupaten Malang.Dengan lebar untuk 2 ( dua ) lajur kendaraan. Jembatan Kali Barek ini dibangun sebagai salah satu bangunan pelengkap pada proyek jalan Lintas Selatan JawaTimur.
Struktur utama berupa gelagar-gelagar dari beton pratekan dan beton bertulang sepanjang 120 m, yang terdiri dari 3 bentang dengan panjang masing-masing 40 m, ditopang diatas 2 pilar dan 2 kepala jembatan. Selanjutnya pada Tugas Akhir ini, akan dimodifikasi dengan menggunakan sistem rangka baja dan bentang diubah menjadi 40 m dan 80 m. Untuk bentang 40 m menggunakan sistem rangka baja terbuka, sedangkan untuk bentang 80 m menggunakan sistem rangka baja tertutup berbentuk busur.
Secara umum perencanaan jembatan ini menggunakan Bridge Management System ( BMS 1992 ) sebagai acuan pembebanan. Pembebanan yang diterapkan mengacu kepada beban - beban ( beban perpindahan dan pengaruh lainnya ) yang timbul pada suatu jembatan berdasarkan peraturan yang ada dalam Bridge Management System ( BMS, 1992 ).
Pendimensian balok pada jembatan ini didesain terlebih dahulu kemudian menganalisa tegangan – tegangan yang terjadi terhadap berat sendiri, beban mati tambahan dan beban hidup, selanjutnya melakukan kontrol. Secara umum perencanaan pendimensian dan kontrol menggunakan metode LRFD.

Kali Barek Bridge located in South Cross Street East Java Province on Malang Regency area. With width for two line of vehicles. This Kali Barek Bridge was build as one of complement structure at East Java South Cross Street project.
Main structure are girder from precast concrete and steel concrete as far 120 m, that consist of 3 spans with each length of 40 m, supported on top of 2 pillar and 2 abutment. Next in this final project, will modified with using steel frame system and change span in to 40 m and 80 m for spans 40 m using steel open frame system, and for spans 80 m by steel close frame system and have shape of arch.
Commonly the designed of this bridge, using Bridge Management System (BMS 1992) as load reference. The load that used refers to load (moving load and other influences) That comes at bridge be based on the rule that state in the Bridge Management System (BMS 1992).
The beam dimension in this bridge are designed firstly and then analyst the tensions that happened on own weight, dead load added and live load, next is doing control on it. Commonly the designed of dimensioning and controlling using LRFD method.
