ABSTRAK

Metode segmentasi citra dapat dibagi menjadi empat jenis yaitu teknik thresholding metode berbasis boundary metode berbasis region dan teknik hybrid yang menggabungkan kriteria boundary dan region. Pada Tugas Akhir ini metode segmentasi yang dipilih adalah teknik hybrid dengan menggabungkan ekstraksi tepi warna dan seeded region growing. Ekstraksi tepi warna akan menghasilkan tepi citra menggunakan metode deteksi tepi yang sudah ditingkatkan dan teknik thresholding entropic. Setelah tepi warna didapatkan centroid antara region-region yang berdekatan diambil sebagai seed awal untuk teknik seeded region growing SRG. Seed tersebut kemudian akan dikembangkan berdasarkan parameter beda antara piksel testing dan seed-nya. Pengujian metode ini dilakukan dengan membandingkan hasil deteksi tepi metode Jianping Fan dengan deteksi tepi menggunakan operator Sobel Prewitt Roberts dan Laplacian of a Gaussian LoG. Pengujian dilakukan terhadap berbagai citra. Dari evaluasi ditemukan bahwa detektor tepi Jianping Fan dapat memberikan hasil yang lebih akurat. Hasil segmentasi dengan SRG juga memberikan hasil yang baik.


ABSTRACT

Image Segmentation Techniques consist of four main approaches namely threshold techniques boundary-based methods region-based methods and hybrid techniques which combine boundary and region criteria. In this final project hybrid technique is done by integrating color edge extraction and seeded region growing. Color edge in an image are first obtained automatically by combining an improved edge detector and an entropic thresholding technique. After color edges are obtained the centroids between these adjacent edge regions are taken as the initial seeds for seeded region growing SRG. These seeds are then grown to be as large as possible according to its homogeneity criteria. The experiments show that edge detection using Jianping Fan method is better than the others such as Sobel Prewitt Roberts and Laplacian of Gaussian LoG method. These experiments have been done for some testing images. And experiments of seeded region growing give good results too.
