ABSTRAK

Dalam setiap aktifitas pada industri manufaktur terda patpotensi terjadinya kecelakaan kerja. Kecelakaan seperti itu sering tidak terduga dikarenakan sifatnya kejadiannya yang insidental ataudatangnya tiba-tiba. Banyak faktor yang berpengaruh dalam setiap kejadian kecelakaan kerja. Beberapa diantaranya adalah factor manusia peralatan pendukung keselamatan dan juga system manajemen keselamatan kerja yang ada di dalam organisasinya. Merujuk pada Bab III Pasal 3 UU No.1 tahun 1970 tentang keselamatan kerja telah diatur didalamnya mengenai kewajiban bagi setiap perusahaan untuk menerapkan sistem manajemen keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja SMK3. Termasuk peraturan mengenai implementasi Alat Pelindung Diri APD Pakaian Pelindung Diri PPD. Terkait dengan implementasi APD banyak aspek yang berpengaruh. Diantaranya adalah faktor manusia kondisi atau spesifikasi APD dan kenyamanan penggunaan APD. Selain itu penggunaan APD yang tepat dapat mengurangi tingkat terjadinya kecelakaan secara signifikan Dorman 2002. Hal tersebut dapat dicapai jika APD yang dipergunakan didesain dengan berdasarkan studi tentang ergonomi dan K3. PT. PAL Indonesia adalah perusahaan pembuat kapal yang berskala internasional. Produk yang dibuat diantaranya adalah kapalkapal perang dan kapal niaga. Proses pembuatan kapal termasuk proses yang sangat rumit karena melibatkan berbagai sumber daya didalamnya serta memiliki resiko kerja yang besar jika dilakukan tidak sesuai dengan standar peraturan keselamatan. Kasus yang banyak terjadi adalah luka pada bagian muka pekerja pada saat melakukan proses pengelasan. Data kecelakaan kerja pada tahun 2005 2006 menunjukkan jumlah kecelakaan yang disebabkan oleh terkena sinar las menduduki peringkat ke 1 dari 16 jenis penyebab dalam 14 divisi yang ada. Luka yang terjadi pada bagian muka jenisnya bervariasi mulai dari terlukanya kulit akibat terkena serpihan las sampai iritasi mata. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan rancangan desain APD berupa topeng las welding mask yang aman dan nyaman sehingga dapat menurunkan angka kecelakaan pada perusahaan. Desain baru diperoleh dengan cara mengevaluasi topeng las eksistingdengan beberapa pendekatan. Selanjutnya dilakukan perbaikan rancangan dan dikomparasi dengan implementasi BenefitCost BCAnalysis pada hirarki AHP Analytical Hierachy Process.


ABSTRACT

Every activity in manufacturing area has a potential to accidents that will be happened. Accidents linked with the nature of itself which will happened quickly and unexpectedly were oftenly unpredictable. Thereupon the accidents happened all the time involved many factors such as human factor safety equipments and also occupational safety and health system in the organisation. According to Occupational Safety and Health Act No. 11970 every company in Indonesia has an obligation to implement Occupational Safety and Health management system in order to ensure the safety of the workers. Rules and law about the implementation of the Personal Protective Equipment and Clothing PPEPPC was also included in the act. Some factors are involved in the PPE implementation human factors PPE specification and the comfort or ergonomic aspect of the PPE itself. Previous research from Dorman 2002 has concluded that proper use of PPE can reduce the accidents level significantly. This situation can be reached within the proper design of PPE based on ergonomy and OSH studies. PT. PAL Indonesia was an internationally recognized shipbuilder company. The shipyard was located in Surabaya Indonesia. The products vary from war ships to cargo ships. Thereby PT. PAL Indonesia was also known as one of national strategic industries. Shipbuilding was also known as a very complex process involving numerous kinds and counts of resources in order to fit the project within the time and budget as planned. The shipmaking-process also acknowledged to some high working risks if not properly done according to safety rules. Cases happened in PT. PAL Indonesia recently was about safety equipment for human face. This accidents may vary from skin bleeding to eye irritations. This research was done in order to obtain the most comfort and secure PPE for human face due to the effort to decrease the level of accidents reported. After evaluating on existing condition of PPE improvement on the design will be executed.
