REFRIGERATION SYSTEM PLANNING OF FLOATING ICE FACTORY

ABSTRAK

Recently fishing system and refrigeration system in Benoa is still independent in which after sailing to fish a ship will dock back at harbor to unload fishes and load ice to ship if there are not sufficient ice in ship anymore. From that point there is required planning to create a ship that is able to become fish carrier and ice factory. In scenario this ship is able to pack up fishes and prepare ice so fishermen do not required more trips to harbor to unload fishes and load ice to ship if there are not sufficient ice. This ship operates from fishing ground 1 to fishing ground 2 and then to harbor to unload fishes. In plan this ice factory will serve two fishing ground in range 700 sea miles with and speed 11 knots. Ship will sail up to 10 days after fishing started and require 4 days to operates offshore so it requires 14 days to come back to harbor with fresh fishes. Dimension plan of this ship is determined by statistical method using comparing ship resulting in length 23.2 m width 6.3 m height 3.3 m and draft 2.5 m.
