ABSTRAK

Unit produksi ZA III PT. PETROKIMIA GRESIK adalah salah satu unit produksi yang menggunakan sistem MIMO pada proses produksinya. Reaktor pada unit ZA III merupakan tempat berlangsungnya proses reaksi kimia asam sulfat dan ammonia untuk menghasilkan kristal ammonium sulphate yang lebih dikenal dengan ZA sebagai produk. Dalam penelitian ini telah dilakukan perancangan sistem pengendalian optimal pada reaktor dengan menggunakan optimal kontrol Linear Quadratic Gaussian LQG .Tolak ukur dari perancangan ini adalah didapatkannya sistem dengan respon cepat dan performansi dinamik yang stabil sesuai set point agar didapat produk yang optimal. Dengan menganalisa dan merancang sistem pengendalian optimal didapat kestabilan sistem untuk set point konsentrasi 0046 dan temperatur 378 K. Melalui pengujian simulasi loop tertutup dengan menggunakan simulink didapatkan nilai settling time dan maximum overshoot berturut-turut pada variabel konsentrasi 1120 detik 586 dan temperatur 800 detik 116.


ABSTRACT

Production unit ZA III PT. Petrokimia Gresik is production unit which uses MIMO system for the production process. Reactor at ZA III unit is the place for amonia and asam sulfat chemical reaction process to get ammonium sulphate crystal known as ZA as the product. This final project has designed optimal control system at reactor with optimal control Linear Quadratic Gaussian LQG. Final result for this design is how to get further and stabil dynamic respon which apppropriate with setpoint to get optimal product. With optmal control system design and analysis stability of the system 0046 for setpoint concentration and 378 K for temperatur. From closed loop system simulation with simulink the value of settling time and maximum overshoot for concentration are 1120 s and 586 whereas the value of settling time and maximum overshoot for temperatur are 800s and 116
