OPTIMALIZATION CROP PATTERN FROM IRRIGATION SCHEME OF DARMA DAM KUNINGAN WEST JAVA USING LINEAR PROGRAMMING

ABSTRAK

Waduk Darma merupakan salah satu pemasok air irigasi yang berada di Kuningan Jawa Barat. Waduk ini direncanakan bisa memenuhi kebutuhan irigasi di daerah sekitarnya seluas 22.060 Ha tetapi yang dialiri secara penuh hanya 10034 Ha. Waduk ini memiliki luas daerah tangkapan sebesar 23.5 km2 dan luas genangan 4 km2. Volume efektif waduk ini sebesar 40.200.000 m3. Jenis tanaman pada sawah yang diairinya terdiri dari padi polowijo dan sebagian kecil tebu. Dengan kondisi belakangan ini air sudah tidak mencukupi kebutuhan air irigasi sehingga di musim kemarau II tanah banyak petani yang menggunakan sumur pompa untuk mengairi sawahnya. Hal ini dikarenakan kemarau yang cukup panjang sehingga tampungan waduk tidak mencukupi untuk menyuplai kebutuhan air irigasi di Musim Kemarau II. Namun yang menjadi permasalahan ialah permintaan masyarakat petani untuk memperoleh air seefisien mungkin sehingga hasil tanam yang diperoleh bisa maksimal. Dengan keterbatasan air yang tersedia di waduk dilakukan studi optimasi agar dapat memaksimalkan keuntungan hasil usaha tani berdasarkan luasan yang optimal. Untuk analisa ini digunakan program linier dengan program Bantu Quantity Methods for Windows 2. Dengan batasan debit andalan yang ada dan kebutuhan air tiap tanaman dijadikan batasankendala yang digunakan sebagai input untuk pengoperasian program linearnya. Output dari perhitungan ini ialah luas sawah yang bisa ditanami sesuai dengan jenis tanaman dan musim tanamnya serta keuntungan hasil tani yang akan diperoleh. Dari running program linier diperoleh pola tanam yang menghasilkan keuntungan terbesar yaitu pola tanam padi-padipolowijo-polowijo dengan awal masa tanam di bulan November dekade I. Keuntungan yang diperoleh selama 1 tahun masa tanam ialah sebesar Rp 101.640.200.000 dengan intensitas tanam sebesar 238 sehingga bisa disimpulkan dengan hasil pola tanam yang baru akan meningkatkan keuntungan sebesar 385 yaitu dari Rp 73.385.892.000 eksisting menjadi Rp 101.640.200.000 pola tanam baru serta intensitas tanam dari 1814 menjadi 238 .Untuk lebih dapat memberikan gambaran tentang kecukupan air waduk dilakukan pula simulasi pengoperasian waduk.


ABSTRACT

Darma water reservoir represents one of the water irrigation supplier in Kuningan West Java. This water reservoir planned to fulfill the requirement of irrigation in its surrounding area for about 22.060 Ha but the full supply just 10034 Ha . This water reservoir has a catchment area equal to 235 km2 and pond area 4 km 2 . The effective volume of this reservoir equal to 40.200.000 m3. The Plants type at irrigated rice field consist of paddy polowijo and some small of sugar cane. With the condition lately the water have been insufficiently for irrigation water need so in the second dry season there are many farmers using well pump to irrigate its rice field. This matter is caused by long dry season so that the storage becomes insufficient for the supply of water irrigation needs which are required in second Dry Season. But the becoming problem is the request of the farmer society to get water as efficient as possible so that result of planting which is obtained can be maximal. By the limitation of available water in storage its important to do the optimalization study so it can maximize the advantage of farming result based to optimal area of rice field. For this analysis is used by linear programming with Quantity Methods software for Windows 2. With the pledge of charge constraint and water need on each plant made as a constraint which is used as an input for operating of its linear programming. The output of this calculation is area of rice field which can be cultivated according to plants type and its cultivating season and also the advantage of obtained farmer result. Based on some planned alternative it would be obtained plant pattern that resulting the biggest advantage which is crop pattern of paddy-paddypolowijopolowijo with an early period of planting in first decade of November. The obtained advantage during one period of planting year is equal to Rp 101.640.200.000 with the plant intensity is equal to 238 so it can be concluded with the result of new crop pattern will increase the advantage it is equal to 385 that is from Rp 73.385.892.000 existing condition become Rp 101.640.200.000 new plant pattern and also the plant intensity from 1814 become 238 . To give more description about sufficiency of water reservoir it is also done an operating simulation of water reservoir.
