ANALISA TEGANGAN PIPA BAWAH LAUT AKIBAT GERAKAN LAYBARGE BERDASARKAN TIME DOMAIN SAAT LAYING

STRESS ANALYSIS OF SUB-SEA PIPELINE INDUCED BY LAYBARGE MOTION BASED OF TIME DOMAIN AT LAYING PROCESS

ABSTRAK

Pipeline adalah sebuah struktur yang memanfaatkan tekanan dan kompresi untuk proses pendistribusiannya sehingga Pipeline mempunyai tingkat keamanan sangat tinggi dibandingkan penggunaan sistem pendistribusian lainnya serta mempunyai desain life time yang panjang. Tugas akhir ini membahas variasi tegangan bending yang terjadi pada free span saat instalasi dengan metode J-Lay yang diakibatkan oleh gerakan dari Laybarge yaitu surge heave pitch dan kombinasi dari ketiganya serta oleh beban lingkungan 1 dan 10 tahunan dengan 5 arah pembebanan 0o 45o 90o 135o 180o. Analisis dilakukan dengan menggunakan software Moses dan Orcaflex. Analisa diawali dengan software Moses untuk mendapatkan karakteristik gerakan bebas dari laybarge. Pada Orcaflex dilakukan pemodelan konfigurasi laying dan hasil dari Moses digunakan sebagai input software Orcaflex. Dari hasil analisa dengan Orcaflex didapatkan tegangan bending maksimum sepanjang free span pipa serta variasi tegangan pada daerah kritis untuk tiap gerakan serta tiap arah pembebanan. Daerah kritis yang terjadi pada free span pipa rata-rata berada pada kisaran panjang pipa 1500 m sampai dengan 1700 m dari titik koneksi dengan barge. Nilai tegangan ekuivalen masih dibawah nilai kriteria tegangan von Mises 403.20 Mpa dengan nilai UC terbesar 0.96. Untuk variasi tegangan bending maksimum pada daerah kritis dilakukan analisa statistik dari hasil analisa tersebut didapatkan bahwa gerakan tunggal yang paling berpengaruh terhadap tegangan bending yang terjadi pada pipa adalah gerakan Heave dengan rata-rata persentase sebesar 99.36 sedangkan gerakan Pitch 82.28 dan gerakan Surge 74.46 dengan fungsi distribusi lognormal untuk variasi nilai tegangan bending.


ABSTRACT

Pipeline is a structure that exploiting pressure and compression of distributing process so that the level of its safety is very high compared by using a system of other distribution and also have long desain of life time. This final project is studying the variation of bending stress that occured at free span at moment of installation with J-Lay method. The stress is resulted by movement impact of laybarge that is surge heave pitch and its combination due to environmental load of 1 and 10 year return period with 5 direction of loading 0o 45o 90o 135o 180o. The analysis is conducted by using software Moses and Orcaflex. The analysis is beginning with software Moses to get characteristic of free movement from laybarge. Then continued with Orcaflex for the dymanic analysis of pipe stress. The result of analysis by Orcaflex is increasing of a maximum bending stress and variation of stress at critical area for every movement and loading direction. Critical area where critical stress occured is at long of pipe-span 1500 m up to 1700 m from point of conection at barge. The value of equivalent pipe-span stress still below equivalent stress criterion of von Mises 403.20 Mpa with highest UC value 0.96. The statistical analysis is conducted for the stress variation of maximum bending at critical area. The important of the contribution of the significant of barge motion is as follow heave contribution to bending stress is highest with mean of percentage 99.36 pitch 82.28 and surge 74.46 with lognormal distribution function for the bending stress variation.
