ABSTRAK

Kualitas adalah syarat utama dalam pembuatan suatu produk sehingga karakteristik kualitas yang kritis CTQ dari sebuah produk harus diperhatikan dalam proses produksi. Proses produksi botol 200 ml di PT. X selama ini dirasakan belum optimal terutama dalam hal keakuratan dan kepresisian suatu produk. Serta lamanya waktu setting mesin untuk mendapatkan karakteristik kualitas yang optimal. Diameter bore netto dan ketebalan dinding botol s1 s2 s3 s4 s6 adalah bagian dari karakteristik kualitas yang kritis botol tersebut. Bila diameter bore netto dan ketebalan dinding botol berada di luar spesifikasi maka ada indikasi bahwa produk tersebut tidak memenuhi karakteristik kualitas yang kritis yang ditentukan. Adapun variabel proses yang berpengaruh dalam proses pembuatan botol 200 ml ini adalah temperatur die blowing time dan blowing pressure. Suatu eksperimen untuk melakukan optimasi dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode respon surface. Pengambilan data dengan menggunakan metode Box-Behnken. Untuk melakukan optimasi multi respon digunakan pendekatan fungsi desirability. Melalui penelitian ini didapatkan model empiris dari bore diameter netto dan ketebalan dinding botol s1 s2 s3 s4 s6 Dari eksperimen ini didapatkan kombinasi variabel proses yang menghasilkan bore diameter netto dan ketebalan dinding s1 s2 s3 s4 s6. Dari optimasi diperoleh bore diameter 29.2256 mm netto 15.2425 gram dan s1 0.9098 mm s2 0.7958 mm s3 0.3717 mm s4 0.5857 mm dan s6 0.8179 mm. Ketujuh nilai tersebut diperoleh dengan menetapkan nilai temperatur die 168.5C blowing time 5.9 detik dan blowing pressure 7.7 bar.


ABSTRACT

Quality is the main requirement in producing a product so its critical to quality characteristics CTQ should be concerned. It is considered that the production process is not producing 200 ml bottle in PT. X with adequate accuracy and precision. The set up is also still too long for producing product which fulfills the specifications requirement. Bore diameter netto and wall thickness that include s1 s2 s3 s4 s6 are part of the critical to quality characteristic of the bottle. If the quality characteristisc do not meet specification requirement it can be said that the quality of the product is low. The process variables that affect the bore diameter netto and wall thickness are die temperature blowing time and blowing pressure. An experiment for optimizing those three CTQ was conducted by using response surface methode. The data was collected by using Box-Behnken design and the desirability function approach was used in the optimization of multi response surface. From this research we obtained the empirical models of bore diameter netto and wall thickness. From this experiment we obtained the combination of variable process optimation. These are bore diameter 29.2256 mm netto 15.2425 gram dan s1 0.9098 mm s2 0.7958 mm s3 0.3717 mm s4 0.5857 mm dan s6 0.8179 mm. Those results from die temperatur 168.5C blowing time 5.9 detik dan blowing pressure 7.7 bar.
