ABSTRAK

Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang pengaruh temperatur minyak mentah terhadap ketahanan korosi baja tahan karat AISI 304. Hasil karakterisasi sifat fisik-kimia minyak mentah mempunyai kadar belerang air dan TAN berturut turut sebesar 033Wt 025V dan 015 mg KOHgr. Sedangkan hasil pengujian korosi dari temperatur ruang sampai dengan temperatur operasi 50C 75C dan 100C berturut - turut 1798 mpy 3732 mpy 6741 mpy 9037 mpy. Hasil pengamatan dengan EDX menunjukkan produk korosi yang terbentuk berupa senyawa FeS FeS2 dan Fe3O4.


ABSTRACT

This work presents a study on the influence of crude oil in the corrosion of the AISI 304 stainless steel. The crude oil was first characterized through physicochemical analysis sulfur concentration water content and TAN content. The result of psychochemical analysis of sulful content is 033Wt water content is 025V and TAN content is 015 mg KOHgr . In an attempt to understand the corrosion effect of temperature and of the type of heating the referred types of steel thermal treatments were carried out at four levels of temperature 3050 75 and 100C. Each treatment took 12 hours to be completed. Scanning electronic microscopy SEM and the analysis of X rays dispersive energy EDX were used after the trials to characterize the samples. While testing result korosi from space temperature up to operation temperature 50C 75C and 100C is 1798 mpy 3732 mpy 6741 mpy and 9037 mpy. The results show that treatment temperature as well as the type of heating has distinct influences on the steel. The corrosion product is FeS FeS2 and Fe3O4.
