ABSTRAK

Boiler-Steam drum adalah sebuah tangki yang digunakan untuk memisahkan fluida antara fase gas steam dan fase cair air. Level air harus dikendalikan agar sesuai dengan Normally Water Level NWL. Permintaan daya yang berarti laju massa steam meningkat menyebabkan level air dalamBoiler-Steam drum kurang dari Normally Water Level NWL .Hal ini akan berakibat terganggunya proses produksi Telah dilakukan studi tentang metode pengendalian feedback feedforward. Metode ini baik digunakan pada pengendalian level karena pengendalian feedforward meminimalkan error yang disebabkan oleh gangguan yang diukur dan pengendalian feedback mengkompensasi ketidaksempurnaan fungsi pengendalian feedforward dan memberikan koreksi terhadap gangguan yang dapat diukur. Diperoleh hasil bahwa strategi pengendalian ini telah mampu mengatasi adanya perubahan load sampai dengan 25 dengan PI GC10 dan TR25 detik menghasilkan maksimal overshoot0.02 undershoot0.019 dan ITAE1.36058.


ABSTRACT

Boiler-Steam drum is a tank used to separate fluids between vapour phase steam and liquid phase water. The water level must be controlled to suit the Normally Water Level NWL. Demand of power means the increasing of mass flow steam because of water level of Boiler-Steam drum least fom Normally Water Level NWL. This will disturbed the process production.A study of feedback feedforward control method has been conducted. Feedback feedforward control suitable to control the water level because feedforward control minimize error caused by measured disturbance and feedback control compensates the imperfect function of feedforward control and give correction to measurable disturbance. The result obtained that this method has been able to handle the load changed up to 25 with PI GC10 and TR25 seconds resulted max overshoot0.02 undershoot0.019 and ITAE1.36058.
