ABSTRAK

Pipa di dalam dapur pemanas 019 F 102 pada Unit Visbreaking digunakan untuk mengalirkan reduced crude oil yang berasal dari kolom destilasi utama dan memanaskannya. Tujuannya adalah untuk proses thermal cracking yaitu memecah rantai molekul hidro karbon yang panjang menjadi lebih pendek agar dapat di fraksionasi lagi menjadi minyak diesel. Material pipa yang digunakan dalam dapur ini adalah baja paduan A200 grade T9 9Cr 1Mo. Pada pipa baris ke-13 dapur pemanas 019 F 102 cell BA mengalami kebocoran dan penggembungan yang menyebabkan terjadi kebakaran didalam dapur pemanas. Untuk menganalisa penyebab kerusakan serta mekanisme perusakan pada pipa tersebut dilakukan beberapa pengujian berupa pengamatan visual pengukuran dimensi dan ketebalan pipa uji komposisi material pipa uji metalografi uji kekerasan serta pengujian X-Ray Difraction scale dan deposit. Pipa ini diduga mengalami proses pemanasan berlebih dalam jangka waktu lama long-term overheating akibat akumulasi deposit yang terlalu tebal sehingga melemahkan material pipa tersebut. Secara kualitatif kondisi pipa mengalami kerusakan sekitar 60 dari kondisi awalnya.


ABSTRACT

The tubes inside furnace 019 F 102 of Visbreaking Unit are used to flow reduced crude oil from main distillation colum and then heating on it. The objective is for thermal cracking process which breaking long hydro carbon molecule chain into shorter chain so it can be fractionated again into diesel oil. The material used in this furnace are comply with ASTM standard A200 grade T9 9Cr 1Mo. Bursting and bulging was occur on the thirteenth tube of 019 F 102 cell BA furnace then causing fire inside the furnace. To analize the suspected faktor and mechanism on the broken tube it is need several examination like visual observation dimension and wall thickness measurement composition examination metallography hardness test and X-Ray Diffraction. This tube suffered to a long-tem overheating because of very thick deposits accumulation then make the tube being weak. Qualitative assessment of this tube show that tube have suffer 60 damage than the new one.
