Kapal WiSE merupakan kapal yang beroperasi di air dan di udara. Kapal ini bisa melayang di atas permukaan air sekita 1-3 meter. Kapal jenis ini masih baru di Indonesia sehingga diperlukan pengembangan untuk menyempurnakan desain kapal yang sesuai dengan perairan di Indonesia. Pada penulisan ini akan membahas masalah tahanan yang dialami kapal WiSE ini baik tahanan air yang dialami oleh lambung maupun tahanan udara yang dialami oleh sayap dan fuselage kapal. Dalam penulisan ini juga akan dibahas mengenai power yang dibutuhkan oleh kapal ini serta power yang bisa dihasilkan oleh airfoil yang akan digunakan sebagai penggerak kapal WiSE ini. Dari penulisan ini akan didapatkan berapa tahanan total yang dialami oleh kapal WiSE ini mesin yang digunakan serta airfoil yang cocok untuk kapal WiSE ini. Sesuai dengan analisa yang dilakukan kapal ini mempunyai tahanan terbesar yaitu 889 kN dan kebutuhan power kapal ini sebesar 284126 HP. Sehingga untuk mengatasi power yang dibutuhkan digunakan airfoil NACA 4412 yang mampu menghasilkan power 9477 dari power yang dihasilkan oleh engine.


The craft Wise is the craft that able to operated on the water and in the air. This craft could fly on the surface of water about 1-3 meter. This kind ship is still new in Indonesia so it need the development to complete the design of the ship that in accordance with waters of Indonesia. In this writing will discuss the problem of resistance of the craft Wise both water resistance at hull and air resistance at the wings and fuselage of the ship. This research also will be discussed concerning power that is needed by this ship as well as power that could be produced by airfoil that will be used as the propeller. From this writing will be obtained total resistance the engine that was used as well as the suitable airfoil for the craft Wise. In accordance with the analysis that was carried out this ship had biggest resistance at 889 ken and the power required is used airfoil NACA 4412 that could produce about 9477 from total power that was produced by engine.
