ABSTRAK

RDT adalah salah satu hasil dari perkembangan teknologi di dunia maritim saat ini. Desain yang inovatif dimana sistem penggeraknya tidak menggunakan poros membuat desain ini menjadi alternatif terbaru atau solusi yang tepat atas berbagai permasalahan yang terjadi pada thruster konvensional. Pengerjaan Tugas Akhir ini adalah membuat desain baru dari tipe blade yang digunakan sehingga hasil akhir yang diharapkan adalah menciptakan desain baru dari RDT. Pemodelan tersebut dilakukan dengan dua cara yang berbeda yaitu dengan melakukan simulasi CFD menggunakan software ANSYS CFD dan juga membuat konstruksi dari model tersebut yang hasilnya akan dilakukan eksperimen di dalam tunel air. Hasil dari kedua pemodelan tersebut akan dibandingkan dan juga digunakan sebagai validasi dari desain baru tersebut.


ABSTRACT

RDT is one of product from technology development in maritime world at this present. The innovative design where the propulsion system does not use the shaft make the design become the newest alternative or solution for various problem that happened at conventional thruster. This Final Project workmanship is making a new design of the blade so the final result of this project is inventing a new model of RDT. The design is done by two different way which are using the CFD simulation by ANSYS CFD and make the contruction of the model which its result will be conducted by experiment in the water tunnel. The result of the designs will be compared and used as well as validation of the new design.
