ABSTRAK

Limbah industri dan rumah tangga mengandung logam berat yang dapat mencemari perairan sungai dan laut. Pada proses bioakumulasi logam tersebut diabsorbsi oleh organisme akuatik seperti ikan kerang dan udang. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui konsentrasi kadmium pada otot ikan belanak yang tertangkap di perairan Pantai Utara Surabaya mengetahui korelasi antara fase pertumbuhan ikan dengan konsentrasi Cd dalam ototnya dan untuk mengetahui batasan konsumsi ikan per orang per hari yang yang aman bagi tubuh. Pengambilan sampel ikan dilakukan pada bulan Mei 2007. Panjang ikan keseluruhan diukur dan dikelompokkan berdasarkan fase pertumbuhannya. Analisa sampel logam berat menggunakan metode AAS Atomic Absorbent Spectrophotometer. Data yang didapat kemudian dianalisa dengan ANOVA satu arah 005. Hasil menunjukkan adanya korelasi positif antara fase pertumbuhan dengan konsentrasi kadmium p005. Nilai konsentrasi Cd pada ikan post juvenile 8-12 cm sebesar 0001200 mgkg muda 15-25 cm sebesar 0005233 mgkg dan dewasa 30-40 cm sebesar 0010233 mgkg. Batasan konsumsi ikan belanak adalah sebesar 5952 ekorminggu untuk post juvenile 794 ekorminggu untuk muda dan 162 ekorminggu untuk dewasa.


ABSTRACT

The industrial and domestic waste containing heavy metal contaminate river and the sea. Through bioaccumulation process contaminant was absorbed by aquatic organisms such as fish shellfish and shrimp. In fish Cd has adverse effects on growth reproduction and osmoregulation. The aim of this research was to identify the cadmium concentration in muscle of mullet fish at Surabaya North Sea relationship between growth phase and Cd concentrations and ADI Acceptable Daily Intake value. Sampling was captured on May 2007. Total fish length were measured and cluster based on growth phase. Sample were analyzed by Atomic Absorbent Spectrophotometer AAS method. Data were investigated by ANOVA one way analysis 005. Results showed that significant relationship between Cd concentrations and growth phase were positive p005. Cadmium value 0001200 mgkg in post juvenile 8-12 cm 0005233 mgkg in sub adult 15-25 cm and 0010233 mgkg in adult 30-40 cm. ADI value are 5952 fishweek in post juvenile 794 fishweek in sub adult and 162 fishweek in adult.
