ABSTRAK

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah simulasi matematis untuk menentukan Rate drying yang didapatkan dari waktu pengeringan partikel padat ZA dengan moisture content. Penelitian dilakukan secara teoritis dengan simulasi menggunakan program matlab dimana perumusan yang digunakan model diffusi .Penelitian diawali dengan menentukan boundary condition partikel untuk mendapatkan persamaan yang diselesaikan dengan metode Thomas. Selanjutnya persamaan-persamaan yang diperoleh diselesaikan dengan menggunakan software matlab 6.1. untuk mendapatkan moisture content rata-rataXavg dan Rate dryingR .Pada tahap akhir hasil perhitungan program simulasi divalidasi dengan data operasi eksperimen Taufik Hidayat. Validasi program simulasi menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata error D X hasil perhitungan moisture content ZA yang dapat diuapkan dengan simulasi dibandingkan dengan percobaan sebesar 66..


ABSTRACT

The aim of this research was to decide drying rate based on drying time of solid partikel ZA vs moisture content. The research was started teoritically by using diffusion model formula. The research was started with developping mathematical model and setting boundary condition particle aiming equation were solved by using Thomas method. The simulation program was developed under the environment of matlab 6.1. Moisture content average and drying rate resulting from the model in the final step result of program simulation was validated by operational data fromTaufik hidayat. Validation of simulation program showed that average error of evaporated moisture content calculation compared by operational data from taufik was 6.6.
