EFFECT OF MULTIPLE MAGNETIC FIELD PLACED RADIAL TO FUEL FLOW ON PERFORMANCE OF HONDA KARISMA 4 STROKE GASOLINE ENGINE

ABSTRAK

Salah satu cara untuk memperbaiki unjuk kerja mesin adalah memperbaiki kualitas bahan bakar yang digunakan. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan magnet dengan arah radial pada aliran bahan bakar dengan variasi kekuatan medan magnet pada mesin otto 4 langkah putaran berubah. Besar medan magnet yang digunakan adalah 0.1 0.4 tesla dan dengan variasi 0.1 tesla serta dengan 3 medan magnet dengan ukuran yang sama.Medan magnet dialirkan pada bensin dengan cara radial.Kendaraan uji adalah honda kharisma 125 cc dan ujicoba dilakukan di Laboratorium Bahan Bakar dan Motor Pembakaran Dalam Jurusan Teknik Mesin FTI ITS. Dengan penambahan medan magnet secara radial dan divariasikan kuat medan magnetnya hasil menunjukkan pada tiap kenaikan 0.1 tesla dari besar kuat medan magnet 0.1 0.4 Tesla pertamaTorsi naik 6.67 8.25 9.44 dan 9.73 . Kedua Daya naik 4.25 7.48 7.65 8.41 Ketiga Bmep naik sebesar 4.25 7.48 7.65 8.41 Keempat Sfc turun sebesar 696 12.69 12.92 14.14Kelima Efisiensi Thermis naik sebesar 7.67 14.79 15.21 16.83 Untuk Emisi gas buang CO turun sebesar 15.58 17.42 18.6819.06 dan HC turun sebesar 9.51 18.31 31.42 36.63.


ABSTRACT

The most common method to increase the performance of a gasoline engine is to refine the quality of fuel used. The objective of this research is to identify the effect of magnetic field in radial position to fuel flow by varying the strength of magnetic field. This research is subjected to an otto 4 stroke engine with variable speed testing. The magnetic field used is 0.1 0.4 tesla by variation tesla 0.1 and 3 magnetic field same. By using an electromagnetic device where the direction of magnetic field is perpendicular or radial to the flow of fuel. Vehichle test is honda kharisma 125 cc and the experiment is conducted in Laboratorium Bahan Bakar dan Motor Pembakaran Dalam Jurusan Teknik Mesin FTI-ITS. By adding magnetic field to the fuel flowand magnetic field variation is showing on the increased 0.1 tesla of magnetic field 0.1- 0.4 teslaFirst engine torque is increased 6.67 8.25 9.44 dan 9.73 . Second horsepower is increased by 4.25 7.48 7.65 8.41 Third Bmep increased by4.25 7.48 7.65 8.41 Fourth Sfc Reduced by 696 12.69 12.92 14.14 Fifth thermal efficiency increased by 7.67 14.79 15.21 16.83.Sixth exhaust gas emission of CO reduced by 15.58 17.42 18.6819.06 and HC reduced by 9.51 18.31 31.42 36.63
