ANALISIS PERFORMANSI JARINGAN VoIP PADA SISTEM CLUSTER ASTERISK SERVER DENGAN METODE DISTRIBUTED UNIVERSAL NUMBER DISCOVERY

ABSTRAK

Voice over IP VoIP merupakan teknologi komunikasi menyalurkan voice dan atau video yang sudah dirubah dan dikemas menjadi paket-paket dan dikirimkan melalui jaringan IP. Teknologi VoIP dapat dikembangkan dengan membuat sebuah sistem cluster yang mampu menghubungkan antar server asterisk yang nantinya mampu menangani panggilan dari client tanpa terkendala masalah ketersediaan layanan VoIP. Dari data hasil percobaan didapatkan hasil bahwa dalam proses switching antar server yang terhubung dalam sebuah cluster asterisk perangkat yang digunakan di sisi client sangat berpengaruh terhadap waktu yang dibutuhkan untuk melakukan panggilan. Performa dari cluster asterisk yang dibangun ditinjau dari nilai kualitas layanan VoIP dan performa dari tiap server sangat dipengaruhi oleh spesifikasi hardware dari tiap server yang menjadi elemen penyedia layanan bagi client. Pembebanan yang dilakukan pada jaringan menyebabkan banyak terjadinya packet loss berkisar antara 4.05 sampai dengan 11.05 . Adanya packet loss ini menyebabkan proses call setup menjadi lebih lama. Hal ini ditunjukkan proses panggilan yang sulit dan call setup delay dengan nilai 1.53 ms sampai dengan 1.84 ms. Perangkat lunak Xlite softphone memiliki kemampuan yang tercepat dalam melakukan panggilan di dalam sebuah cluster asterisk server dengan nilai call setup delay 0.19 ms pada kondisi beban tertinggi yaitu 72.5 dari total bandwidth yang dimiliki.


ABSTRACT

VoIP is communication technology which transmitt voice and video which has been changed into smaller packets and sent through IP Network. VoIP technology can be developed using a cluster system which connect every server and could server client without limitation of avaibility. From the measurement the software hardware used in client is affect on the time to make a call. Performance of Cluster system which have builded those are VoIP QoS parameter is very depend the spesification of hardware that usesd by the server. The traffic load which generated cause packet loss value from 4.05 until 11.05 . The packet loss is cause the call seetup became longer that usual which show on call setup delay value from 1.53 until 1.84 ms. Xlite Softphone have the best performenace of all which shown by call setup delay from 0.19 ms when the traffic is loaded 75 from bandwidth reserved.
