PEMBENTUKAN SECTOR BEAM ANTENA ARRAY MENGGUNAKAN ALGORITMA GENETIKA

ABSTRAK

Penggunaan antena sektoral pada sistem komunikasi seluler dapat menghasilkan nilai gain yang lebih besar daripada penggunaan antena omnidirectional sehingga kapasitas user yang bisa tercover dengan menggunakan antena sektoral akan jauh lebih banyak daripada user yang bisa tercover dengan menggunakan antena omnidirectional. Tetapi pada penggunaan antena sektoral sering terjadi masalah back dan side lobe yang mengakibatkan terjadinya co-channel interference. Sehingga pola radiasi yang dihasilkan oleh antena sektoral tidak sesuai dengan yang diinginkan masih ada daya yang dipancarkan melalui back dan side lobe sehingga nilai gain yang dihasilkan tidak konstan pada sector yang diinginkan. Tugas Akhir ini akan mengkaji pembentukan sector beam antena array dengan menggunakan lgoritma Genetika GA dan menganalisa performansi sector beam yang terbentuk dengan mengacu pada parameter Half Power Beam Width HPBW Side Lobe Level SLL dan Ripple. Pola radiasi sector beam antena array yang diinginkan adalah memiliki nilai gain yang konstan nilai side lobe level SLL yang rendah dan tidak memiliki nilai back lobe. Dari hasil simulasi program Algoritma Genetika didapatkan pola radiasi yang memiliki main lobe lobe utama pada arah sudut 0 memiliki nilai gain yang konstan pada sector 50o memliki nilai Half Power Beamwidth 88o nilai Side lobe level -16.8 dB dan nilai ripple 0.55 dB.


ABSTRACT

Application sectoral antennas at cellular communication systems can be covered user better than omnidirectional antennas because sectoral antennas can produce high gain. Sectoral antennas have a problem like back lobe and side lobe. The effect of back lobe and side lobe can produce co-channel interference. So radiation pattern didnt maximum at desired user direction. This final project learn about application of genetic algorithm for sector beam antennas pattern synthesis and analysis performance of the sector beam with three parameters. The three parameters are Half Power Beamwidth HPBW Side Lobe Level SLL and Ripple. From the simulation result known that the beamforming with genetic algorithm have main beam at 0o constans gain at sector 50o Half Power Beamwidth at 88o Side Lobe Level is -16.8 dB ripple value is 0.55 dB and without back lobe.
