ABSTRAK

Hybrid solar lighting adalah sistem pencahayaan yang menggabungkan dua jenis sumber cahaya buatan dan alami. Solid State Lighting SSL adalah pencahayaan buatan berbasiskan sumber cahaya semikonduktor. Fiber solar lighting adalah pencahayaan alami berbasis penyaluran sinar matahari melalui serat optik. Sistem hybrid solar lighting menjanjikan saving energy pada sistem pencahayaan. Telah dibangun sistem hybrid solar lighting yang menggabungkan fiber solar lighting dan solid state lighting yang dilengkapi dengan mekanisme kontrol untuk menghasilkan pencahayaan konstan. Fiber solar lighting menggunakan primary collector berupa parabolic dish concentrator untuk mengumpulkan cahaya matahari secondary collector berupa cermin datar dan serat optik. Sumber cahaya pada solid state lighting menggunakan 12 watt white LED array. Metodologi pada rancang bangun sistem hybrid solar lighting ini meliputi aspek-aspek desain realisasi karakterisasi dan analisa. Sistem disusun untuk pencahayaan pada prototype ruangan berbentuk kubus dengan sisi 50 cm. Dari pengujian diperoleh intensitas keluaran maksimum fiber solar lighting sebesar 460 lux yang diukur pada jarak 50 cm dari sumber cahaya. Penggunaan PWM sebagai metode kontrol intensitas pada white LED array bekerja dengan baik. Sistem hybrid solar lighting mampu memberikan pencahayaan ruangan yang konstan dengan nilai eror steady state sebesar 14. Berdasarkan acuan yang ada perubahan level pencahayaan total dalam ruangan akibat fluktuasi fiber solar lighting masih dalam batas yang dapat diterima.


ABSTRACT

Hybrid solar lighting is lighting system that combine two kind light sources artificial and natural. Solid State Lighting SSL is an artificial lighting system that based on semiconductor light sources. Fiber Solar Lighting is a natural lighting system based on the distribution of solar light using fiber optic. That hybrid lighting promise saving energy in lighting system. Hybrid solar lighting that combine solid state and fiber solar lighting with control mechanism to achieve constant lighting has been built. Fiber solar lighting consist parabolic dish concentrator as primary collector for collecting solar energy flat mirror as secondary collector and fiber optic. 12 Watt white LED array is used as artificial lighting source. The method of hybrid solar lighting system design and construction covering aspects of design realization characterisation and analysis. These system used for room prototype lighting form of cube with 50 cm length of flank. The reasult of this research are the measured maximum intensity of fiber solar lighting is 460 lux wich measured 50 cm from light source. PWM as white LED arrays dimming method work well. Hybrid solar lighting can give constant illumination with steady state error 14. Base on current references the change of illumination level which caused of fiber solar lighting fluctuations still be in acceptable range.
