ABSTRAK

Teknologi sistem pompanisasi dan perpipaannya yang dipakai di suatu tempat sangat tergantung dari kondisi tempat tersebut misalnya kedalaman permukaan air yang dipompa kondisi air yang dipompa air bersih berlumpur berpasir jauh dekatnya jarak konsumen air dari sumber air dan sebagainya. Jet pump adalah gabungan dari pompa sentrifugal yang diletakkan diatas permukaan sumur dengan jet atau ejector nozzle yang diletakkan pada salah satu sisi tekan pompa sentrifugal tersebut. Two-pipe jet pump digunakan untuk kedalaman sumur yang relatif dalam dan mampu mengahasilkan aliran fluida yang kontinyu. Studi literatur dari berbagai sumber dilakukan untuk mendukung proses perancangan dan analisa. Dalam Tugas Akhir ini analisa terhadap geometri ejector dilakukan terlebih dahulu untuk mendapatkan effisiensi terbaik. Setelah didapatkan flow ratio M dan pressure ratio N pada kondisi optimum geometri itulah yang berikutnya dianalisa tentang kebutuhan penggunaan pompa sentrifugalnya. Tekanan pompa yang dibutuhkan dihitung berdasarkan kecepatan aliran fluida dengan diameter pipa suction tertentu. Dari analisa yang dilakukan didapatkan bahwa ejector memiliki diameter mixing throat 0.02 m diameter diffuser 0.03175 m dan diameter nozzle sebesar 0.012 m. Effisiensi terbaik ejector yang didapat adalah sebesar 28.93 dengan effisiensi pompa impeller sebesar 50 dimana kemampuannya telah dibuktikan dengan simulasi numerik pada software Fluent 6.2.


ABSTRACT

Technology of pumping system and the pipeline that used on some place very depend on place condition for example the surface of water that would be pump near or far consumer distance from water source etcetera. A jet pump is combination of centrifugal pump that located at above well surface with jet or ejector nozzle which located at one of the inlet edge. Two-pipe jet pump usually used for very deep well and it can produce continuous fluid flow. Other sources were got from journals articles and handbook to support the effort. In this Final Project analysis activity to numbers of geometry configuration is done first to get the best ejector having the best efficiency. After getting the flow ratio and pressure ratio of the maximum efficiency of the ejector pump selection was then done. Discharge pressure of the pump is calculated based on velocity of fluid flow with certain suction pipe diameter. From analysis it has obtained that ejector has 0.02 m mixing throat diameter 0.03175 m diffuser diameter and 0.012 m nozzle diameter. The best efficiency of the ejector is 28.93 with impeller pump efficiency 50 . The design capability has also been proven by numerical simulation using commercial software Fluent 6.2.
