ANALISIS PERFORMA PERLINDUNGAN PETIR SALURAN UDARA TEGANGAN TINGGI 150 KV TERHADAP PEMASANGAN SURGE ARRESTER MENGGUNAKAN PERANGKAT LUNAK EMTP DI GIS TANDES

ABSTRAK

Sejalan dengan kebutuhan energi listrik yang semakin meningkat maka diperlukan suatu sistem tenaga listrik yang dapat bekerja secara optimal. Sistem tenaga listrik menyalurkan daya dari pembangkit tenaga listrik ke konsumen melalui jaringan tenaga listrik yang terdiri dari saluran transmisi dan distribusi. Penyaluran daya listrik dengan saluran udara tegangan tinggi SUTT terkadang melalui daerah dengan potensi sambaran petir yang cukup tinggi dapat mengalami gangguan akibat sambaran langsung. Pada tugas akhir ini akan membahas perhitungan dan analisa performa perlindungan petir pada SUTT 150 kV dengan pemasangan surge arrester. Metode yang digunakan adalah melakukan simulasi dengan bantuan perangkat lunak EMTP untuk mendapatkan performa sistem. Pada kasus ini akan diambil contoh GIS Tandes 150 kV dengan IKL sebesar 159 hari guruh per tahun menunjukkan bahwa kemungkinan terjadi back-flashover 057 dan jumlah gangguan kilat pada saluran transmisi 42 gangguan per 32 km per tahun. Pemasangan arrester di dekat gardu induk tidak mempengaruhi besarnya tegangan isolator pada menara. Jadi kemungkinan terjadi back-flashover pada menara tidak dapat dihilangkan. Tetapi pemasangan arrester ini sangat berguna untuk membatasi tegangan berlebih pada gardu induk akibat adanya arus surja.


ABSTRACT

In compliance with the increasing electrical energy needs it is necessary to have electrical power system that can supply electrical power optimally for consumers. The supply of the electrical power from power plant to consumers passed through the distribution and the transmission lines. Sometimes the transmission with high voltage over head lines passed through high potential flashes location may cause flash to the line. This study analysis and computing of the lightning protection performance in high voltage transmission 150 kV protected by surge arrester discussed the simulation with EMTP software to get the system performance. The result show that Tandes GIS with IKL 159 thunder-days per year show back-flashover rate about 057 and the total flashes to the line about 42 per 32 km per year. Arrester did not influence insulation voltage at tower transmission and the probability of back-flashover can not be minimized. But arrester is very useful to protect the substation from over voltage caused by current surge.
