ABSTRAK

Continuous Variable Transmission CVT adalah sistem transmisi tanpa gigi yang prinsip kerjanya dengan memanfaatkan gaya sentrifugal dimana dalam pengoperasiaanya dapat merubah diameter antara pulley penggerak driver pulley dan pulley yang digerakkan driven pulley. Pada perancangan ini diawali dengan penentuan spesifikasi motor penggerak yang dipakai rasio operasional CVT dari 0829 sampai 2399 putaran operasional maksimal 900 rpm pemilihan belt model link yang digunakan jumlah massa bola governor di driver dan driven serta massa bola governor pada driver spesifikasi pegas pada driven dimensi pulley poros pasak dan bearing. Hasil yang didapatkan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui kinerja CVT dimana ketika putaran input diperbesar maka putaran pada pulley driven juga akan semakin besar dengan trend kenaikan yang lebih curam daripada kenaikan putaran pada pulley driver sehingga didapat rasio putaran akan semakin kecil. Hal ini di karenakan diameter di pulley driven yang semakin mengecil dan diameter di pulley driver yang semakin membesar. Sedangkan besarnya torsi pada pulley driver tidak dipengaruhi oleh perubahan diameter perubahan diameter namun hanya dipengaruhi oleh kenaikan kenaikan torsi pada torsi pada mesin penggerak dan besarnya torsi pada pulley driven dipengaruhi oleh torsi masukan mesin penggerak dan rasio diameter kedua pulley.


ABSTRACT

Continuously Variable Transmission CVT is a transmission system without tooth that uses centrifugal force. Its work by change diameter between driver pulley and driven pulley. This design is beginned with stipulating specification of main mover engine used to actuate CVT operating speed ratio varied from 0.829 to 2.399 and 900 rpm at maximum rotation. The selection of belt link model amount of governor ball mass at driver and spiral spring at driven are also aplied through calculation to be know about the ball mass at driver driven spring specification pulley dimension shaft keys pins and bearings. Obtained result from this researchis to know performance of CVT where input rotation is incresed then driven rotation is increased also with more significant increase than driven rotation increase then speed ratio result is diminishing. It can be happened by decresing driven pulley diameter and increasing driver pulley diameter and the torque at driver pulley is not affected by driver pulley alteration but only affected by torque from prime mover and diameter ratio of both pulley.
