ABSTRAK

Smart antenna adalah suatu antena array di mana sinyal yang diterima diproses secara adaptif sehingga user yang diinginkan mendapatkan daya yang maksimum sebaliknya interferer mendapatkan daya yang minimum. Antena array adalah antena yang tersusun dari beberapa buah elemen antena yang digabung sedemikian rupa sehingga memperoleh pola radiasi yang diinginkan. Pembentukan pola radiasi beamforming ini dilakukan dengan mengatur pembobot input antena array agar main lobe yang dihasilkan mengarah pada user yang ditentukan. Pada tugas akhir ini dilakukan analisa tentang pembentukan beam dengan menggunakan algoritma sidelobe cancellation dan dipengaruhi efek mutual coupling. Dengan menggunakan algoritma sidelobe cancellation maka nilai carrier to interference ratio C I akan bertambah baik dibandingkan dengan algoritma yang lainnya. Dari hasil simulasi diperoleh bahwa performansi carrier to interference ratio C I algoritma sidelobe cancellation jauh lebih baik dibandingkan dengan algoritma dolph chebyshev. Dari hasil simulasi diperoleh pada algoritma dolph chebyshev nilai C I terbesar adalah 3966 dB sedangkan pada algoritma sidelobe cancellation nilai C I terbesar adalah 8710 dB untuk kondisi tanpa mutual kopling. Untuk kondisi dengan pengaruh mutual kopling nilai C I terbesar algoritma dolph chebyshev adalah 3815 dB sedangkan pada algoritma sidelobe cancellation nilai C I terbesar adalah 5668 dB. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa beamforming yang dipengaruhi mutual kopling akan mengalami penurunan daya sehingga nilai C I yang dihasilkan kecil.


ABSTRACT

Smart antennas is an array antenna where received signal will be processed adaptively so a desired user get maximum power and the other way an interferers get minimum power. This beamforming works with arrange weighted input of array antenna therefore output main lobe at beamforming will be pointed to the desired direction. This final project learn about beamforming analysis of smart antenna with sidelobe cancellation algorithm and mutual coupling effect. Sidelobe cancellation algorithm produce carrier to interference ratio C I value better than another algorithm. From the simulation result known that the carrier to interference ratio C I sidelobe cancellation algorithm is better than dolph chebyshev algorithm. From simulation result shows that the largest value dolph chebyshev algorithm is 3966 dB and for sidelobe cancellation algorithm is 8710 dB. This value without mutual coupling effect. With mutual coupling effect the largest value dolph chebyshev algorithm is 3815 dB and for sidelobe cancellation algorithm is 5668 dB. From a result in above that beamforming with mutual coupling effect will be decrease a power so C I value is decrease too.
