ABSTRAK

Salah satu cara yang digunakan dalam proses disinfeksi bakteri di PDAM Pasuruan adalah chlorinasi. Namun cara memiliki beberapa kekurangan diantaranya yaitu memiliki efek samping dan cost yang besar. Pada proyek percontohan diterapkan disiinfeksi dengan menggunakan Ulraviolet model T- 15000. pada tugas akhir ini akan diuji alat tersebut dan akan dicoba meningkatkan performansinya. Setelah proses disinfeksi dapat diketahui jumlah bakteri yang masih hidup dan dihitung. Pada awal percobaan akan dihitung persamaan model matematis tentang radiasi dengan debit air. Kemudian pada penelitian dicari hubungan antara debit air dengan total bakteri. Dari kedua data inilah hubungan antara radiasi UV dengan total bakteri dapat ditentukan. Performansi UV water sterilization dapat dilakukan dengan UV lamp 900 watt yaitu sebesar 48. Dengan radiasi minimum 13500 Wm denagn performasni 43.88. Jika digunakan UV lamp 1200 watt performansi menjadi 98. Dimana debit air maksimum yang dicapai adalah 11 ltdt dengan radiasi minimum 6545455 Wm


ABSTRACT

One of the way which is used in process of bacterium disinfection of PDAM in pasuruan in chlorination. But the way of this have some insuffiency that is heving side effects and high cost. At the pilot project is applied bacterium disinfection by using UV model T-15000. At this final assignment the appliance will be tested and tried to increase its performance. After disinfection process amount of bacterium will be able to know and calculated. In the begining of research will be calculated mathetical model equation about radiation with water debit. Then in research will be calculate relation between water debit and total bacterium. From both data relation between UV radiation and total bacterium will be calculated. UV water sterilization performance could be done with UV lamp 900 watt until 48 With minimum radiation 13500 Wm. If used UV lamp 1200 watt the performance become 98 where maximum water velocity is 11 lts with minimum radiation 6545.455 Wm
