ABSTRAK

Aeorodynamic profile drag atau tahanan udara merupakan tahanan yang cukup dominan pada hovercraft saat bergerak dengan kecepatan tinggi yang disebabkan oleh pengaruh aerodinamisasi dari bentuk badan hovercraft itu sendiri. Tahanan ini mempengaruhi hampir 20-25 persen dari tahanan total yang terjadi pada hovercraft. Besarnya nilai dari aeorodynamic profile drag dapat diperoleh dengan menggunakan rumus pendekatan simulasi model pada towing tank atau dengan menggunakan simulasi komputer dengan bantuan software CFD Computational Fluid Dynamics. Diharapkan dengan adanya pengurangan aeorodynamic profile drag kebutuhan daya pendorong menjadi berkurang.Pada Tugas Akhir ini dibahas mengenai pengaruh modifikasi bangunan atas dari hovercrfat terhadap pengurangan aeorodynamic profile drag dari hovercraft 20 personel yang telah diproduksi melalui permodelan menggunakan simulasi komputer dengan bantuan software CFD Computational Fluid Dynamics.


ABSTRACT

Aeorodynamic profile drag or air drag is a quite dominant drag on hovercrfat while moves in a high speed which is caused by aerodynamic affect from hovercraft body shape. This drag affect almost 20 25 of total drag which is happen on hovercraft. The value of aeorodynamic profile drag can be reach by aproximation formula model simulation on towing tank or using computerised simulation with CFD Computational Fluid Dynamics software. The result of aeorodynamic profile drag decrease expected can be lessening the thrust power requirement. In this final project discuss about superstructure modification affect of hovercraft for aerodynamic profile drag decrease from 20 personnel hovercraft which have already exist through a modelling by using the computer simulation CFD Computational Fluid Dynamics software
