ANALISA PENGARUH PERUBAHAN VOLTASE DAN JARAK ANODA-KATODA TERHADAP KETEBALAN LAPISAN PERMUKAAN PADA PROSES ELECTROPLATING CHROM DEKORATIF LAPIS TEMBAGA NIKEL DAN CHROM

ANALYSIS EFFECT OF VOLTAGE AND ANODECHATODE DISTANCE CHANGES TO COAT SURFACE THICKNESS ON DECORATIVE CHROM ELECTROPLATING PROCESS LINE OF COPPER NICKEL AND CHROM

ABSTRAK

Sejalan dengan perkembangan industri logam di Indonesia yang saat ini maju dengan sangat pesat termasuk berbagai pendukungnya. Kita lihat setiap harinya dari kebutuhan rumah tangga automotif dan elektronika serta lainnya telah mengalami proses finishing logam yang salah satunya adalah lapis listrik electroplating. Lapis listrik khususnya pelapisan chrom dekoratif yang mempunyai fungsi antara lain memperbaiki penampilan memberikan perlindungan terhadap korosi dan tahan terhadap goresan atau gesekan sehingga pelapisan chrom dekoratif ini banyak sekali digunakan. Pelapisan logam dengan elektroplating dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik pelapisan dasar chrom yang sangat tergantung pada pelapisan dasar dekoratif yang mana untuk lapis dasar menggunakan tembaga dan nikel dan baru pada lapis terakhir menggunakan chrom. Benda kerja dalam proses pelapisan ini menggunakan plat baja. Parameter dalam penelitian ini menggunakan variasi tegangan voltase 123..91012162024 dan 28 volt dengan arus waktu dan temperatur larutan elektrolit tiap pelapisan di jaga konstan. Hasil yang didapat lalu dianalisa secara statistik dengan bantuan software Minitab. Dari hasil penelitian ini disimpulkan bahwa pengaruh perubahan voltase dengan perbedaan jarak antara anoda atau logam pelapis elektroda bermuatan positif dan katoda atau specimen uji Elektroda bermuatan negatif dalam pelapisan Chrom dekoratif sangat berpengaruh terhadap ketebalan pelapisan permukaan specimen yang dilapis. Dari hasil penelitian yang didapatkan dipilih kriteria ketebalan lapisan chrom dekoratif yang optimal mengkilap yaitu terjadi pada voltase 12V dengan jarak antara anoda-katoda 295 mm dan tebal lapisan mencapai 19 Um.


ABSTRACT

In line with growth of metal industry in Indonesian which in this time go forward fast considerably including various his supporter. We see every day him from requirement of household automotive and other electronics and also have experienced of process of finishing metal which one of them is enduing electrics electroplating. Endue electrics specially veneering of decorative chrom having function for example repairing appearance giving protection to corosion and hold up to friction or incision so that veneering of this decorative chrom a lot of used. Veneering of metal with electroplating in this research use technique veneering of base of chrom very depend on veneering of base decorative which to endue base use nickel and copper and newly at enduing last use chrom. Object work in course of this veneering use steel plate. Parameter in this researchs use tension variation voltage 123..91012162024 and 28 volt with current time and electrolyte condensation temperature every veneering in taking care of constant. Got result is then analysed statistically constructively Minitab software. From this research result please conclude that influence of change of voltage with difference of distance between metal or anode of coat electrode of positive capacity and cathode of specimen test electrode of negative capacity in veneering of chrom decorative very have an effect on to thick veneering of surface of endued specimen. Of got research result to be selected by thick criterion coat of chrom decorative the optimalness shines that is happened at voltage 12V with distance among anode-chatode 295 mm and thick tired coat 19 Um.
