ABSTRAK

Segmentasi citra merupakan salah satu bagian penting dari pemrosesan citra yang bertujuan untuk membagi citra menjadi beberapa region yang homogen berdasarkan kriteria kemiripan tertentu.Salah satu metode yang dapat digunakan untuk ini adalah algoritma Bayesian Ying Yang annealing learning. Algoritma BYY annealing learning menyediakan sebuah mekanisme baru yaitu pembelajaran parameter dengan pemilihan model secara otomatis melalui pemaksimalan sebuah fungsi harmoni pada arsitektur Backward sistem BYY untuk campuran gaussian.Algoritma ini digunakan dalam dua tahap pada proses segmentasi yaitu mendeteksi jumlah kelas secara otomatis pada citra dan mengestimasi parameter tiap kelas tersebut.Pada tahap pendeteksian jumlah kelas BYY annealing learning bekerja dengan memaksimalkan nilai prior dari kelas yang benar dan meminimalkan nilai prior yang bukan kelas. Dari proses ini didapatkan jumlah kelas yang benar dalam citra. Berdasarkan kelas yang didapatkan dari proses sebelumnya selanjutnya dilakukan pengestimasian parameter pada tiap kelas tersebut.Parameter-parameter yang didapatkan ini kemudian digunakan untuk mensegmentasi citra. Percobaan-percobaan membuktikan bahwa BYY mampu melakukan segmentasi unsupervised citra warna dengan baik.


ABSTRACT

Image segmentation is one of the important parts of image processing which aim is to divide image into some homogeneous regions based on certain similarity criteria. One method that can be used is Bayesian Ying Yang annealing learning algorithm. BYY annealing learning algorithm has provided a new mechanism that makes parameter learning with automated model selection via maximizing a harmony function on a backward architecture of the BYY system for the Gaussian Mixture.This algorithm is used in two stages of segmentation processes which are automatic detection of class in image and parameter estimation for each class.In automatic detection of class BYY annealing learning works via maximizing prior of correct class and minimizing prior of wrong class. From this process we get the number of correct class in image. Based on the number of correct class from the stage before we estimate parameters for each class. This parameters is used for segmenting an image. Experiments show that BYY can do good unsupervised color image segmentation
