Description:

Radio Frekuensi Tinggi (HF Radio) digunakan secara luas untuk komunikasi jarak jauh. Komunikasi Radio HF yang maksimum dipengaruhi oleh banyak hal, antara lain oleh lokasi, frekuensi dan waktu pengiriman. Selain itu, juga dipengaruhi oleh gangguan ionosfer. Pengukuran karakteristik propagasi merupakan kegiatan dasar yang cukup penting untuk rancang bangun suatu sistem komunikasi. Pengukuran yang tepat tentang karakteristik propagasi dari komunikasi melalui kanal HF merupakan hal yang sangat penting sebagai acuan untuk penentuan seberapa besar pengaruh parameter-parameter tersebut sehingga dapat dirancang suatu sistem dengan performansi optimal. Pada tugas akhir ini akan dilakukan pengukuran terhadap parameter-parameter propagasi yang berpengaruh pada komunikasi radio HF, serta mengevaluasi parameter-parameter tersebut sehingga didapatkan karakteristik propagasi di lokasi pengukuran. Dari hasil pengukuran, diperoleh nilai tetapan propagasi (n) berkisar antara 2.80 – 3.16 untuk lokasi pengukuran link darat-darat di Surabaya dan 2.49 – 2.74 di Rembang, serta untuk pengukuran link darat-laut antara 5.55 – 7.2. Nilai standar deviasi (σ) untuk pengukuran di Surabaya berkisar antara 5.33 – 5.57 dan 3.31 – 4.22 di darat Rembang serta antara 1.59 – 1.70 untuk link darat-laut. Dari uji normalitas yang dilakukan, diperoleh hasil bahwa seluruh data terdistribusi lognormal.

High Frequency Radio (HF Radio) widely used for long distance communication. HF Radio communication in maximum condition was affected by many things, such as location, frequency and transmitting time. Beside that, it can also be affected by interference of ionosphere. Measurement of propagation characteristic is base activity that important to design a communication system. Measurement accuration of propagation characteristic from communication through HF channel is important reference to determine how big effect of that parameters until can be designed a system with optimum performance. In this final project will be done measurement of propagation parameters that affect in HF Radio communication and evaluate those parameters until propagation characteristic is gotten in measurement location. From measurement result, constant value of propagation (n) will be gotten in range 2.8 – 3.16 for land to land link measurement location in Surabaya and 2.49 – 2.74 in Rembang, also for land to sea link measurement between 5.55 – 7.2. Deviation Standard for measurement in Surabaya between 5.33 – 5.57 and 3.31 – 4.22 in Rembang land, and also 1.59 – 1.70 for land to sea link. The result of normality test that has been done is all data have lognormal distribution.
