ABSTRAK

Unit-unit pembangkit kecil yang terhubung dengan system distribusi dapat meningkatkan kualitas tenaga hingga pengguna-akhir misalkan dengan ketersediaan sokongan tegangan. Meskipun demikian Pembangkitan Terdistribusi DG yang ada sekarang telah merubah bentuk dasar dari system distribusi dan berpengaruh juga terhadap keandalan dari system pengaman yang ada. Keberadaan DG dapat juga berpengaruh pada saat dan setelah terjadinya error tegangan. Sebagai tambahan kedip tegangan dapat disebabkan oleh adanya fault pada sistem tenaga dan juga akibat starting beban berkapasitas besar seperti motor. Starting motor merupakan salah satu faktor yang dapat menimbulkan adanya gangguan pada sistem kelistrikan. Pada saat motor distart akan terjadi penarikan arus yang sangat besar yang dapat mencapai 5 - 7 kali arus nominal dan akan terjadi penurunan frekuensi sistem dan tegangan pada bus-bus. Untuk fault yang dimaksud adalah momentary interuption yang mengakibatkan hilangnya tegangan dan diikuti dengan bekerjanya peralatan pengaman untuk menghilangkan gangguan tesebut dari sistem. Pembangkitan distribusi DG didefinisikan sebagai sumber yang ukurannya terbatas kurang dari 15 MW dan terpasang pada gardu induk atau beban. Masalah sering sekali timbul pada jaringan distribusi tenaga listrik yang salah satunya yaitu losses tinggi dan drop tegangan yang terjadi akibat adanya gangguan. Untuk mengoptimalkan kerja dari sistem distribusi kita harus menganalisa efek dari penempatan lokasi dari pembangkitan terdistribusi terhadap losses total dan profil tegangan. Dengan pengoptimalan sistem distribusi ini kita bisa meningkatkan keandalan kerja pada jaringan distribusi tenaga listrik. Pembahasan ini bertujuan menunjukan dampak yang ditimbulkan oleh DG yang terpasang pada tegangan menengah terhadap karakteristik kedip tegangan yang terjadi pada level distribusi yang dalam tugas akhir ini adalah bertempat di PT. FURUKAWA INDAL ALUMINUM kawasan industri MASPION Gresik.


ABSTRACT

Small generation units connected to distribution systems can improve end-user power quality e.g. by providing voltage support. However the presence of distributed generation DG changes the radial nature of distribution systems and affects the performance of the protection system. DG can also affect during- and post-fault voltages in addition voltage sags are highly influenced or caused by faults on the power system and the starting of large loads such as motors. Motor starting is one of the factor that can caused disturbances to an electrical system. During the starting Motors have the undesirable effect of drawing several times 5 7 times their full load current. This large current will by flowing through system impedances cause a voltage sag. Fault that mentioned is a Momentary interruptions typically no more than 2 to 5 s cause a complete loss of voltage and are a common result of the actions taken by utilities to clear transient faults on their systems. Distributed genaration DG is defined as a source with limited size less than 15 MW and installed to a main station or load. One of the problem that oftenly occur to a power system distribution network is a high losses and voltage drop that caused by a fault. To optimalized the distribution system performance we need to analysed the effect of the distributed generation location placement concerning to the total losses and voltage profile. By optimalized the distribution system we can also improve the reliability of the power system distribution network. This study is aimed to show the impact that caused by the installed DG on the medium voltage level concerning to the voltage sags characteristic that happen on the distribution level. The study for this final project is take place on PT. FURUKAWA INDAL ALUMINUM MASPION industry area Gresik.
