ABSTRAK

Banyak sekali bangunan yang menggunakan body berbentuk silinder seperti bangunan lepas pantai tiang pancang gedung dan sebagainya. Oleh karena itu penelitian tentang aliran melintasi sebuah silinder sirkular sangat menarik untuk dikembangkan. Penelitian tersebut dapat mengamati timbulnya separasi yang menyebabkan terjadinya drag force. Separasi yang terjadi semakin cepat akan mempertebal wake sehingga drag yang timbul akan semakin besar. Banyak metode yang dilakukan untuk menunda terjadinya separasi. Pada penelitian ini untuk menunda terjadinya separasi massive dilakukan dengan menimbulkan fenomena bubble separation. Uji eksperimental ini dilakukan didalam sebuah wind tunnel dengan bilangan Reynolds 64000. Pengujian ini dilakukan pada silinder sirkular teririsi tipe - D dengan 952s 65 dengan penambahan ellips khusus dibelakang silinder tersebut. Adapun yang divariasikan adalah perbandingan jari-jari silinder terhadap ellips ba dengan perbandingan 1 35 37 dan 39. Karakteristik aliran dapat diamati dengan mengukur distribusi tekanan pada kontur silinder ellips profil kecepatan di belakang silinder ellips dan visualisasi aliran dengan metode oil flow picture. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini adalah bubble separasi tidak terjadi walaupun adanya tambahan body ellips khusus dibelakang silinder teriris tipe D dengan axis ratio ba 1 35 37 dan 39. Hal ini disebabkan dengan Reynold Number yang cukup tinggi yaitu Re 64000 menimbulkan energi yang besar pada sudut potong silinder sehingga energi dari freestream tidak mampu mendefleksikan aliran untuk attach kembali pada sisi lengkung tambahan body ellips khusus.


ABSTRACT

Many buildings that use cylindrical body such as building offshore pole building and so forth. Therefore research on the flow across a cylinder circular very interesting to be developed. Research can observe the emergence of the separation cause occurrence of drag force. The separation will occur more quickly consolidate its people so drag that arises will increase. Many of the methods to delay the occurrence of separation. In this research is to delay the occurrence of massive separation is done with the phenomenon raises Bubble Separation. Experimental test was conducted in a Wind Tunnel with the Reynolds number 64000. Testing was conducted on the cylinder circular teririsi type - D with 952s 65 with the addition of special ellipse behind the cylinder. The comparison is the varied fingers of the cylinder ellipse b a with 1 3 5 3 7 and 3 9. Flow characteristics can be observed by measuring the distribution of pressure on the contours ellipse cylinder the speed profile in the back of the cylinder ellipse and flow visualization methods with the oil flow picture. Results obtained from this research is Bubble separation does not occur despite the existence of additional special body ellipse chipped behind the cylinder type - D with axis ratio b a 1 35 37 and 39. This is caused by Reynolds Number which is quite high namely Re 64000 a big rise in energy angle cut cylinder so that energy from freestream not able to attach flow return on the curved body ellipse extra special
