Mooring Tower merupakan sistem tambat yang reliable untuk untuk digunakan sebagai penambat Floating Storage Offloading (FSO) di Laut Jawa yang memiliki kedalaman relatif dangkal. Tugas Akhir ini membahas tentang desain Mooring Tower yang paling optimal untuk penambatan FSO di Laut Jawa. Desain Mooring Tower harus mampu menahan beban akibat motion FSO dalam kondisi operasi dan kondisi badai, dan juga beban lingkungan yang bekerja pada struktur. Pada permodelan dibuat tiga model dengan konfigurasi struktur yang berbeda. Setelah model tersebut selesai maka dilakukan inplace analysis untuk mengetahui besarnya gaya yang bekerja dan didapatkan model I dengan berat yang paling ringan yaitu sebesar 1227.68 kips untuk selanjutnya dilakukan optimasi. Optimasi dilakukan dengan memvariasikan ukuran diameter dan tebal dari diagonal dan horizontal brace. Dengan memperhatikan defleksi dan UC member strength serta UC Punching Shear sebagai constraints maka akan diperoleh desain optimal dari struktur Mooring Tower dengan ukuran diameter horizontal sebesar 14 inch dan diameter diagonal sebesar 10,75 inch. Selanjutnya dari analisa sensitivitas diketahui bahwa perubahan beban bersifat tidak sensitif terhadap defleksi dan UC member strength sedangkan bersifat sensitif terhadap UC Punching Shear.

Mooring Tower is a tether system that reliable used to tie of Floating Storage Offloading (FSO) at Java Sea which hava shallow depth. This final project is about the most optimal design of Mooring Tower for FSO terminal at Java Sea. The design must be able to restrain the load caused by FSO motion in operate and extreme condition also environmental load working on structure. It has been made three different configuration of structure. After finished modelling, in-place analysis is done to know the force then got model I as the lightest weight around 1227.68 kips. The next step is optimize which done by varying the diameter and thickness of diagonal and horizontal brace. Considering deflection and UC of member strength and punching shear as constraints, it will be got the optimum design of Mooring Tower structure by diameter measure around 14 inch diameter of horizontal brace and 10.75 inch of diagonal brace. At last, sensitivity study must be done and knew that the structure is insensitivite to the deflection and UC member strength but sensitive to UC punching shear.
