Perkembangan teknologi dan industri telah mendorong berdirinya perusahaan dalam skala besar, seperti perusahaan tambang, kimia, dan otomotif. Salah satu faktor penting yang ada pada industri tersebut yaitu pengukuran debit dari aliran fluida (cairan dan gas) yang ada pada suatu saluran. Pengukuran debit ini dapat bermanfaat untuk mengetahui jumlah pasokan dan kemungkinan adanya kebocoran gas dalam industri pertambangan atau dapat juga sebagai referensi untuk mengatur pasokan fluida sebagai proses pencampuran kimia. Pada tugas akhir ini, penulis mencoba membuat alat berupa flowmeter elektrik yang bekerja berdasarkan beda tekanan untuk
mengukur debit aliran udara. Pada pipa saluran terdapat bagian yang menyempit sehingga terjadi perbedaan tekanan udara pada kedua sisi penyempitan. Tiap sisi memiliki saluran pengukuran tekanan yang masuk ke sensor tekanan. Sensor tekanan yang digunakan adalah sensor tekanan semikonduktor MPX5050. Tegangan keluaran dari kedua sensor tekanan akan diatur oleh op-amp yang berfungsi sebagai pengkondisi sinyal dan melakukan diferensiasi agar didapatkan nilai beda tekanan. Sinyal keluaran op-amp ini akan
diubah ke digital oleh ICL7109 yang merupakan dual slope ADC 12 bit. Mikrokontroler ATMega akan mengolah data hasil konversi ADC untuk mengubah data beda tekanan yang terbaca menjadi debit
udara yang mengalir dan menampilkan nilainya pada display LCD Berdasarkan pengujian dapat diketahui bahwa posisi pengukuran/penyensoran beda tekanan pada jarak 2 mm pada sisi
penyempitan (orifice plate) memiliki akurasi pengukuran yang mendekati nilai sebenarnya dengan rata-rata relatif error sebesar 2.53%.

Development of the industrial technology has been causing established the company in the field of mining, chemical, and otomotif in large scale. One of the important factor in industry is about a measurement, especially to measure flowrate of the fluid (liquid/gas) at some pipe. Measuring flowrate of the fluid can give a lot information such as to know how many total gas in a certaint time and possibility of gas leakage in gas mining industry or can
also as reference to handling flowrate of fluid at chemical mixing process. There are many method to make a flowmater either analog or digital depend on kind of sensor that used. At this paper, I try to make the tool a digital flowmeter that work beside of differential pressure to measure flowrate of gas flow. At the pipe design, there part of pipe that narrow so that arouse differential pressure between
inlet and outlet of the pipe. Every side has line off that connect to pressure sensor. The pressure sensor that used is MPX5050 that kind of semiconductor pressure sensor The voltage output of two sensor will be processed by operational-amplifier to gaining signal and substraction of voltage output to get better sensitivity and total
differential pressure. Output signal from op-amp was changed to digital by ADC(Analog-to Digital Converter) ICL7109. Data output from ICL7109 will be processed by Microcontroller to convert variable of differential pressure to be flowate and bring up at LCD. Based on the test it was found that position sensing of differential pressure at range 2 mm near side of orifice plate (corner taps), has accurate more actual with average relative deviation error (ARD) 2.53%
