Mesin pencacah plastik bekas merupakan mesin yang dapat memotong plastik bekas hingga berukuran kecil. Di home industri, mesin ini masih menggunakan kontrol secara manual dan apabila memodifikasi membutuhkan waktu yang lama. Pada tugas akhir ini, dirancang sebuah alat system pencacah plastik bekas dengan kontrol otomatis berbasis PLC Siemens S-7200. Dimana pompa air yang digunakan untuk menyiram sekaligus mencuci plastik yang akan dipotong dan motor 3 phase yang digunakan untuk menggerakkan pisau pemotong dihubungkan dengan PLC. Gerakan dari alat tersebut dikontrol sesuai program ladder yang telah dibuat yang memanfaatkan program timer yang dapat diubah sesuai kebutuhan.Pengujian system mesin dalam menghasilkan produk sebelum adanya pemasangan corong nilai outputnya adalah 20 gram, rata rata produksi 16,6 gram dan ratarata sisa 58,7 gram, pengujian mesin dalam menghasilkan produk setelah adanya pemasangan corong (satu) nilai outputnya adalah 30 gram, rata rata produksi 25 gram, rata- rata sisa 76,8 gram, pengujian mesin dalam menghasilkan produk setelah adanya pemasangan corong (dua) nilai outputnya adalah 501,93 gram, rata rata produksi 33.33333 gram dan rata-rata sisa 498,06 gram.

Used plastic census machine is machine that can be used to cut the plastic to small shape. In the home industry, this machine is still using manual control and if it is modifying, it need a long time. In this final project has designed the used plastic census system with automatic control based on PLC Siemens S-7200. Where the water pump is used to flush and wash the plastic that will be cut and 3 phase motor that is used to move the cutter knife that associated with the PLC. Movement of the tool is controlled according to the Ladder program, it has been created to take advantage of the timer program that can be changed as needed. Testing of the engine system in produce the product before shaft installation so the value of output is 20 grams, the production average is 16.6 grams and the average of residue is 58.7 grams, testing of the engine system in produce the product after shaft installation (one) so the value of output is 30 grams, the production average is 25 grams, the average of residue is 76.8 grams, testing of the engine system in produce the product after shaft installation (two) so the value of output is 501.93 grams, production average is 33.33333 grams and the average of residue is 498.06 grams.
