Pembangunan gedung Politeknik Kediri yang berlokasi di Jl. selomangleng ini merupakan pembangunan gedung yang difungsikan sebagai tempat perkuliahan, laboratorium, Asrama, perkantoran, masjid dan kantin. Khusus untuk bangunan kantor terdiri dari satu unit gedung berlantai tiga dengan luas lantai total 2276,4 m2 dan menampung penghuni sebanyak 137 orang. Untuk mendukung kelancaran pembangunan tersebut, perencanaan sistim plambing pada gedung merupakan satu kesatuan sistim yang tidak dapat dipisahkan. Perencanaan instalasi air bersih, air kotor dan air bekas merupakan bagian dari perencanaan instalasi plambing. Perencanaan instalasi air bersih dibuat dalam rangka penyediaan air bersih untuk memenuhi kebutuhan penghuninya dalam masalah air. Instalasi penyediaan air bersih pada gedung direncanakan untuk mencapai pemenuhan jumlah air dengan debit dan tekanan yang cukup, menggunakan teknis yang benar serta ekonomis. Perencanaan kebutuhan air bersih disesuaikan dengan jumlah penghuni dan kebutuhan beban unit alat plambing berdasarkan sifat pemakaian alat plambing tidak semua terpakai bersamaan (pemakaian normal). Sistim yang diterapkan dalam distribusinya adalah sistim sambungan tidak langsung dengan tangki atas. Air dari tangki bawah dialirkan ke tangki atas denganpompa angkat. Penggunaan tangki atas terutama berfungsi menyimpan air untuk memenuhi kebutuhan singkat pada saat terjadi jam puncak dan untuk menstabilkan tekanan air sehubungan dengan fluktuasi pemakaian air sehari-hari. Air dari tangki atas didistribusikan menuju alat-alat saniter melalui pipa tegak dengan cara gravitasi dan khusus untuk lantai 3 pada gedung kantor pemompaan menggunakan pompa booster. Perencanaan instalasi air kotor bertujuan untuk mengalirkan air kotor dan air bekas ke tempat-tempat yang dikehendaki tanpa ada gangguan atau pencemaran terhadap daerah-daerah yang dilaluinya. Sistim pengaliran air kotor dan air bekas yang digunakan adalah sistim terpisah. Air kotor dialirkan menuju ke tangki septik dan air bekas dialirkan ke sumur resapan. Debit dan dimensi pipa air kotor dan air bekas disesuaikan dengan jumlah penghuni. Sistim ven yang digunakan adalah pipa tegak utama/basah.

Special for office building consist of one unit building which has 3 floors with floor totally is 2276,4 square meters and receives 137 people. To support the development, design of plumbing system is union. Installation design of cold water, sewage and waste water is the part of design plumbing system. Design of cold water installation made in ready step to supply of cold water for dweller requirement in water. Cold water installation at this building designed to accomplishement requires of water with debit and pressures enough, using the correct technical and economic. Design of cold water requirement adjusted to amount of dweller and the value of plumbing fixtures according to the using normally. Distribution system applied is indirect extension system with Towertank. Water from groundtank conduited to the Towertank with transfer pump. The use of towertank especially function to save the w ater for the brief requirement at culminate time and stabilize the pressure of water refering the usage fluctuation. The water from rooftank distributed to plumbing fixtures conduit in straighten pipe by gravitation and special for office building pumping with booDesign of sewage intended for conduite of sewage and waste water to the place desired without trouble or contamination to the passed area. Conduit system of sewage and waste water is separate systems. Sewage conduited to septic tank and waste water conduited to diffusion well. Debit and dimension of sewage and waste water pipe adjusted to amount of dweller. Ven system used is straighten wet pipe system.ster pump.
