KINERJA ADAPTIVE CODED MODULATION PADA SISTEM OFDM MENGGUNAKAN HYBRID SELECTIONEQUAL GAIN COMBINING DIVERSITY DI BAWAH PENGARUH REDAMAN HUJAN TROPIS

ABSTRAK

Permasalahan utama yang dihadapi daerah tropis adalah fading akibat redaman hujan. Fading menurunkan unjuk kerja sistem komunikasi gelombang radio pada frekuensi diatas 10 GHz. Indonesia merupakan Negara tropis yang memiliki curah hujan sangat tinggi. Penelitian ini memanfaatkan OFDM untuk mengurangi pengaruh redaman hujan terhadap sistem komunikasi gelombang millimeter dengan metode penggabungan antara modulasi adaptif pengkodean rangkap adaptif dan teknik diversity Hybrid Selection Equal Gain Combining HSEGC. Pemodelan sistem transmisi adaptif dilakukan pada komunikasi multilink yang memiliki variasi sudut 450 900 dan 1350 terhadap Link Timur 00 sebagai sumbu acuan. Panjang lintasan bervariasi dari 1-4 km untuk pengamatan BER maksimal 10-6 dan 10-11. Berdasarkan hasil analisa yang telah dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa nilai link availability sistem adaptive coded modulationACM untuk link 1 km telah mencapai 9999 pada pengamatan BER 10-6 dan 10-11. Dan pada sistem ACM yang dikombinasikan dengan teknik HSEGC diversity telah mencapai jarak 2 km.


ABSTRACT

Main problems faced by tropical regions is fading due to rain attenuation. Fading down the performance of communication systems radio waves at a frequency above 10 GHz. Indonesia is a tropical country that has very high rainfall. This study utilizes OFDM to reduce the influence of rain attenuation of millimeter wave communication system with the method of adaptive modulation that using a cluster code and adaptive diversity called by Equal Gain Hybrid Selection combining HS EGC. Adaptive transmission system modeling is done on a multilink communication have variations 45o 90o and 135o to the East Link 0o as the reference axis. The length of the track varies from 1-4 km to the observed maximum BER 10-6 and 10-11. Based on the results of the analysis has been done shows that the value of a link adaptive system availability coded Modulation ACM for 1 km link has reached 99.99 in the observation BER 10- 6 and 10-11. And full system ACM with the HSEGC diversity have reached the distance of 2 km.
