STUDI DAMPAK SAMBARAN PETIR PADA PERALATAN TEGANGAN RENDAH RUMAH TANGGA MENGGUNAKAN PERANGKAT LUNAK EMTP

ABSTRAK

Petir merupakan fenomena alam yang meluahkan muatan listrik dengan arus dan tegangan yang sangat besar dalam waktu yang sangat singkat. Saluran transmisi SUTET jarang sekali mengalami gangguan akibat sambaran petir dikarenakan level tegangan petir hampir sama dengan level tegangan transmisi. Namun ketika petir menyambar di saluran tegangan rendah yang dekat dengan transmisi di pelanggan rumah maka transien tegangan dan arus yang diakibatkan oleh petir akan berdampak pada sistem kelistrikan di pelanggan rumah dan bisa merusak peralatan tegangan rendah dan elektronik. Pada sambaran tidak langsung kanal petir akan menginduksi peralatan tegangan rendah dan elektronik atau bisa juga terjadi kenaikan tegangan grounding peralatan dikarenakan efek kenaikan tegangan tanah ground potential rise dari sambaran petir. Kedua jenis sambaran tersebut menimbulkan tegangan transien pada peralatan listrik. Pada tugas akhir ini akan dibahas mengenai sambaran secara tidak langsung. Kenaikan tegangan tanah ground potential rise akan disimulasikan dengan menggunakan perangkat lunak EMTP sedangkan induksi petir akan dihitung secara matematis. Dari hasil simulasi didapatkan bahwa Karakteristik grafik tegangan dan arus puncak pada peralatan listrik di sekitar menara yang tersambar petir akibat Ground Potential Rise dan tegangan induksi elektromagnetik yang terjadi adalah berupa grafik eksponensial turun dengan penurunan yang curam untuk range 1-3 m dan penurunan yang landai untuk range 3 m lebih. Peralatan listrik akan aman dari efek ground potential rise jika resistansi pentanahan 5625656468 1 ohm.


ABSTRACT

Lightning is nature electrical charge phenomenon with a real high current and voltage during very short time. The fault in Extra High Voltage EHV transmission line which caused by lightning strike is rarely happen because level of lightning voltage has the same level with transmission line. When lightning strike attack low voltage transmission line which near customer housing the voltage transient and current can destroy low voltage devices and electronic equipments. At indirect strike the canals of lightning will induce low voltage devices and electronics and also cause ground potential rise. Both types of the strike generate transient voltage and current at low voltage devices. At this final project will be studied about indirect strike of lightning. Increase of ground voltage ground potential rise will be simulated by using EMTP software while inducing lightning will be calculated mathematically. From result of simulation is got that voltage and current graph at electrical equipment around tower stroke by lightning as result of Ground Potential Rise and electromagnetic induced voltage is in the form of exponential graph gone down with steep derivation for range 1- 3 m and sloping derivation for range 3 m more. Electrical equipment would be safe from effect of ground potential rise if ground resistance 1 ohm.
